Im not so sure. Kieliszkowski beats him on a lot of events. I do agree Thor will win worlds, but i don't think it will be a cake walk.

Kieliszkowski is good no doubt but the only event I think he would take points off Thor here is the car walk

Chain and duck walk are like nothing to Thor...he proved that in 2017 euros.

A few takeaways from being there...

1) It was a good event and Bryce doing the bits for TV was slightly surreal as he obviously goes for taking the piss to being serious and then back to taking the piss in 30 seconds.

2) It was sad to see Z struggle as much as he was - he also looked massive so obviously carrying a huge amount of weight for very little benefit. When he basically passed out at the end of the chain drag he looked to be in a pretty bad way. And while the 195 log was very comfortable he didn't look close to threatening the 207.

3) Felix is amazing - still looks huge and pretty cut, great bloke.

4) Biby seems like a very nice guy, although clearly has to improve technique wise on a lot of events.

5) Licis was very impressive, as was Bishop who really pulled it out of the bag to make the podium.

An enjoyable evening - did spend far too much on beer though!

Agreed...joint first on axle, lets say joint first on deadlift, win duck and chain, probably 2nd in car walk...then 1st or 2nd in stones. So yeah...a comfortable victory.
If Thor's grip improves just a bit more this year he will be unstoppable. Both at Arnold's and WSM he dropped just before the finish line and the only event he drops big points.

The thing with Grip is if you get to your late 20's and it's relatively weak it's probably never going to be too much better, it can improve but it'll always be a weakness comparatively

I just think the years of the Arnold's where they tailored frame carry for Z with straps he didn't improve his grip. The last two years his grip has improved a decent amount.

Then just get Rogue to build frame carry for WSM and not have those hand shredding ones they usually use.

I would like to see him have a good injury free run one more time. Maybe carrying a slight injury from that failed log WR attempt.

Tbf bibby didn't strict press it either.. clear knee bend and leg drive after the initial arched pause. Still incredible power abd stronger than Z on the day but Zs shoulder power is still there ready to be unleashed. His legs were as solid as Edds.

I don't have anything super scientific it's just that having won worlds strongest man if he was going 5k have a great grip he already would have, it gets hit so often indirectly that if its not strong after nearly 10 years of strongman training it's probably genetically not the strongest. Although Thore dad has a good grip from seeing him pick up dumbbells and he doesn't seem to train!
