It seems to have come on all of a sudden, but think it might not have helped carrying a cooker recently. Basically the pain seems to be on the underside of my arm where forearm meets elbow. The main causes seem to be back or bicep work or anything pulling something towards me. So even pushing hands together or splashing water on my face type movements feel like a hot poker being stabbed in that area of my arm. Any idead guys? Think I may invest in an innertube and give that voodoo thing a go!

I would definately try icing for 10 mins as often as possible throughout the day. try the innertube thing too, see if it works.

Thanks Pete, I've tried icing it a couple of times, not really helped much tbh. I can't take anti-inflams due to being asthmatic. I can press fine with it and train legs which I hate! But can't train back or biceps really.

I think it might be gayness from not squatting iirc !

Could be that General! Although, in my defence I do squat now and even deadlift on occasion...

I have got the same elbow pain in both arms at the moment. More so on my left.

I got this pain from squatting when doing my 1rm. Think it is caused by streching my elbows to much trying to get the barbell in position, as my shoulders are so tight.

I train through it and just load up on ibruprofen & paracetamol. I also ice it everynight. It always goes away after a couple of weeks.

Sounds like what I've been suffering from

All pressing was fine but curls or heavy low-pulley rows hurt; a lot!

Went to see the osteopath yesterday and he said that it's probably a little bit of bursitis still but also that a few ligaments had shifted so he spent 10mins working on it to try and click everything back into place

Followed that up with 20mins of acupuncture and then another 10mins of clicking and cracking; it's sorted now (I think)!

Doesn't hurt as much and movement is a lot more freer; just came out sweating and fairly pasty white yesterday haha Grin

Thanks guys, I've just googled Bursitis and that seems to sound about right. It also says that wearing elbow supports might aggravate it so I'll try laying off them for a while too, then traditional rest, ice, elevation etc.

I've been using Vulkan elbow sleeves; offer very little support but keep the joint warm so theyre recommended!

Osteo also said yesterday that 3mins with your elbow under a hot shower and 1 min under cold x3 is a good routine as is icing before bed etc...

Well after the pasty faced sweats and more or less crying at the osteo yesterday as he was clicking & cracking my elbow back into its right position training tonight has gone great

Very little pain with the elbow and it feels fine afterwards as well (usually gets stiff and seizes a little etc...)

Fingers crossed!
