Overhead medley results. Only half the field pressed all four implements. Best was Derek with a time of 27.45. Then Frankie Schuen with 30.96 but could have done better if he hadn't fumbled the keg. Fellow South African Gerhard Van Staden Strongman 39.64. Tristen Obrien great effort 42.14. Warrick Brant ... best performing Aussie so far 45.49. Nick Best 50.68 but Nick Nick Nick FUMBLED the keg and lost precious seconds. Oh well that's Strongman. Marc Wells did well to get 3 implements in 44.49 and the rest of the guys only got the axle. That log took its toll. Fastest on the axle and 7th place was Jack McIntosh 3.99. Jordan Biggie Steffens 4.67. Eben Le Roux Roux 4.77. Lars Rorbakken 6.69 and Robert Craig Kilpatrick 11.74 who tweaked his back warming up on the keg. So Derek leads with a perfect score of 24. Gerhard has moved into 2nd with 19. jack seemed fine. a few guys made the overheads look tough. he was solid on yoke and keg, but others were flying.
derek looked in a lot of pain after the keg carry. i think he took 2nd in the deads. not sure of the rest as i missed that event.
two events to go.

Sorry about taking so long to post the deaflift results. Poor guys been lying around tired and exhausted for hours and then they are told '5 minutes ur on'. Bodybuilders took forever. But then again most fashion parades do. But these guys are Strongmen and all rose to the task. ........... And the winner is ...... Nick Best. Last year Nick pumped out 11 reps on 350kg in 75secs. This year time limit was 60 seconds same weight and Nick smashed 13 reps. And that with a smile. Impressive And inspirational. Derek Poundstone right up there with 12. I swear Derek's head was about to pop from the effort. His shoulders were turning blue. Wow. .sorry. I digress. In 3rd possy with 8 reps was Frankie Schuen and Big Jack McIntosh. Warrick got a solid 7 and took out 5th place. Eben 6 reps. Gerhard Van Staden Strongman who had the misfortune of his straps breaking after 1 Rep got 5 reps after Nick Best rushed out and gave Gerhard his straps. Gerhard definitely would have popped out a few more. But that's Strongman. Marc Wells and Tristen Obrien slogged out 4 reps each and the rest of the guys - Lars, Rob (with a heavily bandaged hand) and Jordan Biggie Steffens were unable to score but nearly died trying.
So with two events to go tomorrow - the 5 x 120 keg loading race and the stone to shoulder lift for reps the leader remains Derek Poundstone on 47 points. Nick has moved to a clear second with 39 reps. Third Is Frankie 33.5 but only just as hot on his tail is his best mate Gerhard on 33pts. And just to make them feel really uncomfortable Warrick in 5th with 32pts. Jack looks like keeping them honest. He is 6th on 29.5. But of a break then to Eben 7th and 23. Tristen 21.5. Marc is 9th with 18.5. Jordan has speed to 10th on 17. And then Lars 7 and Rob 5.

top 3 to worlds
