hey, I was using a titan deadlifter, I cant say for sure but i reckon it was giving me quite a bit over raw, I think I did a 200x4x4 raw the first time i toyed with sumos, never went raw again after that, but as you will soon find out raw and suited sumo is a different animal, different lift all together. Will check out your footage once I can get my internet fixed, having to use my pda, talktalk is the worse piece of s**t.ever.

Some excellent SLDLs there mate - do you find they help your deadlift? Both times I've really gone at them I've got big PBs in my deadlift. I seem to be able to deadlift about 1.7x my 10RM on SLDLs from blocks. 160x10 is my immediate aim before the British. I noticed your 160x8x3 and then remembered your massive deadlift!

thanks mate, I have only just started doing them, it was 2nd time in fact so I dont know yet, I hope they work as I have heard a lot of good things about them from the likes of coan and so. When you do them, do you alternate it with normal deadlifts or you do them together in a session.

LOL. I got caught ot first time i did GM's in the exact same way. On a different note, what do you do to train your grip? You have an awesome grip and i would very much like if i had one too Grin

I dont do anything for grip these day, you get more than enough from deadlifting, the thing I did do that made my grip was 20 sets of 1 rep on the deads, I had a 200kg mixed grip pb back then, I started off with 130 kg for 20 sets of 1, using double overhand grip, no chalk in the early stages as it was light enough, then I added 5 kg a week till I got to 180kg which took three months, I kept a decent rest, as I always aimed to finish the work-out in less than 30 minutes. After the three month I maxed out with a 240 done with double overhand, and I have ever looked back in terms of grip ( knock wood)

here is the vid of the 240 max, boy that was a great day!!!

From a 200 PB to 180 for 20 singles on shortish rests is three months is astounding progress, never mind the grip thing! No wonder you destroyed 240.

Did you actually pull that 240 having not gone over 180 for the whole three months?

That's pretty f**king awesome. Really shows how you can make great progress without ever going near a max weight!
