Im trying to find out if anyone else has had this problem, basically my father in law has a severe pain in his lower bi, elbow and top of his forearm his had it a week or so now its mainly after sleeping and first thing in the morning.

If he lays on his side its the arm on top not the one hes laying on that has problems it causes him to wake with a pain in his elbow etc and numbness in his hand.

Once hes warmed up throughout the day it tends to ease off.

Has anyone had similar or know of anyone having this problem and what they had done about it ?

This was exactly the tendonitis i used to get mate, actually got it again this morning from axle cleaning, thats what always brought it on for me. It got progressively worse until like your father in law it used to wake me up at night. I cured mine with the voodoo trick i mentioned before and a constant course of Diclofenac (spelling?). The main thing tho was quitting the thing that was causing my pain - axle cleaning.

yeah tried the voodoo thing mate with a leg strap it helped for about a day then it was back but not sure on the cause of it as there is no pain or problems during training for him

Keep up with daily voodoo, i know a few people who have done it daily or every other day and its worked eventually.
High rep bicep work may help too.
Do you know whats causing it?

I've posted this in a few journals for people that have problems around that area. When I had bad pain in my elbow and forearm area from tendonitis I did loads of rice digs and flicks that you can see in the videos below and it got better every day until it finally went a few weeks later. All I did was 3/4 fill a large protein powder tub with rice and use that.

not sure mate but hes noticed that curling can cause pain, hes had it before and strangely using a screw driver when he was lowering his ceiling helped clear it up.

If you don't mind me asking, what is this voodoo trick? I've started getting similar pains the last couple of weeks when doing flexion exercises like JM press and pushdowns. Never had a problem with my elbows before but the inside of the joint has started to be more than uncomfortable!

I'm a big fan of very light high rep EZ curls for this type of thing. Flushes a lot of blood through the elbow but doesn't irritate the problem. That's what you want really something that you can get a lot of reps with in order to increase blow flow while not causing further damage. Like others have said, if it hurts, don't do it. Mine took about 2-3 months to go.

your going to need a rubber inner tube instead of a knee wrap. less give and the effect is better IMO

the thinks is if i remember correctly Tendons that attach to the muscles and the bones dont really have a very good blood supply. so the increased blood supply will flush the muscle and not the tendon. so by using the voodoo trick on the elbow area your working the tendon under compression and breaking up scar tissue in the tendon and muscle area. i am by no mean a doctor but this is how a see the voodoo trick working to aleviate the pain.

Yeah i remember you saying this on my thread when i had this problem luckily my elbow was nearly back to normal after a week, my father in laws is a lot worse than mine.
