just went through about one million training sessions with the bulls**t filter on, f**king consistant work man, always in that same 10% of top strength range grafting away.

Did you get rid of the strongman gear? not even a bit tempted to crack the log out Grin

There a small lifting platform at Valhalla (with Ivanko rubber plates) if you and Andy fancy a change of scenery one w/end?

Sorry for the lack of responses guys. not been in here for a couple of weeks as ive been ill and not really done much. i did train a week last Monday and did nothing soecial - think i push pressed 82 or 85 for 10 (sure it was 82), and squatted 142.5 for 8. think chins went +20kg for 5 then BW x 15, ring dips +20kg x 5 and BW x 21 for a PB.

i then trained on Wednesday this week but was still too ill really and just spent the session sitting down and coughing my guts up. did some snatch up to 70kg x f,f,f,1 LOL

Felt a bit better today so trained with Andy

Saturday 2nd February

Snatch
40kg x 3,2
50kg x 1
60kg x 1
70kg x 1
80kg x 1
85kg x f
80kg x f,f

Need to start from scratch again on these

Clean and jerk
70kg x 3,1
90kg x 1
110kg x f,1 lost the first jerk
115kg x f,f on the clean

Front squat
60kg x 3
100kg x 3
120kg x 1
135kg x 1f2

Need to build back up again on these

Snatch grip deadlift
110kg x 3
130kg x 3
145kg x 3

Terrible session, but at least I'm back and it's a start.

Joni - good to hear from you mate. Training has been pretty gash for a LONG time now. I need to put some BW back on, but having AIDS doesn't help with that! Barely eaten a thing in the last 10 days. I've still got all the strongman stuff and I do plan in using it again in the future. I just want to do something that I can be remotely happy with in WL first!

JC - 127 was a cheeky PB attempt. Not close though really. 100/130 would be good in the near future. 120/150 sounds total crack pipe for ow, but I would like to do 110/140+ before the end of the year. No secret training mate, just been dying! Valhalla sounds good. Will see if I can make it out there on weekend in Feb with Andy.

John - I had been eating like f**k all January trying to put some BW back on and felt like I was getting somewhere, now I'm back to square one after being ill and not eating a bean! I'm entitled to moan! All those protein shakes in January may as well have just been poured down the sink - at least that's what Andy thinks!

Snatch looked better with a wider grip but if it hurts your wrists...

C&j was fast even with aids. I think you'll be back to good numbers this week. Hang snatch on wed.

Cheers Paddy, being ill is grim!

John - I naturally have no appetite, so just eat normally then gain weight by nailing protein+oat shakes.

Andy - I might have a play about with the wider grip on snatch, see if the wrists can get used to it. 190 total yesterday, hopefully back up over 200kg next week and can then start building it back up again.

I'm up for some hang snatch for sure.

You lost weight again? Once you're over the AIDS you need to go on the cake diet...works wonders for me, but does make you fat lol

Have a portion of cake with every meal...its the future Grin

JC - i have o idea what my weight is but i reckon I'm about 8 stone wet through! hardly ate at all for the last couple of weeks. cake diet LOl think ill stick to the protein + oat shakes thanks. Grin

Just cover everything in cheese! You'll gain weight in no time.

I hgave recently 'discovered' tuna mixed with cream cheese and mayonnaise. Tastes better than normal tuna mayo and has lots of calories.
