Should be able to get some lifting shoes after Chrimbo, was lifting bare foot until the nazi lass at the gym caught me and threatened perma-ban lol

Last night training went to pot, I deviated from the routine, had next to no energy and little gym time.

Very good session this morning, happy with all increases.

Squat

Warm up sets
(Bar x 20 / 60kg x 12 / 80kg x 8, 100kg x 5)

Now repping 1rm from about 3 months ago, still a fair bit left in the tank too!

62.5kg x 4 (Rep PB) then a forced 60kg x 1 to keep rep numbers similar


Happy with all of those, shouldn't have really let ego get in the way of the program but f**k it.

Pull Ups / Dips Superset

3 x 5,5 @ +14kg

Had to use a dumbbell, again felt easy. Might actually remember dipping belt day one day.

Good session today, with it being the start of week 4 I've done every lift to see progressions and make a vid

Sacked off cleans from the progressions though as I want to stay light and nail form.

Squat

Good progress mate, I would definitely keep plugging away as you are and the strength will come.

In relation to your deadlift - my numbers and their ratios were very similar to yours, and I found that switching to sumo deadlift really helped me increase my leg drive when I went back to pulling conventional. I went from 170kg up to 190kg fairly quickly this way (after stalling at 170 for a bit).

In relation to your technique - it again looks very similar. The things that have helped me are getting tighter at the start (Try to pull yourself down to the bar or try paused deadlifts), and working on hip drive (Kettlebell swings helped me learn this bit).

Just bought a pair of these Do-Win weight lifting shoes 'Gong Lu II, White/Black off amazon they look ok and comfy, but I have wide feet, not many shoes under £100 that don't look like bowling shoes.
