Skaven for the win !! Member 2490, 3589 posts SQ 180, BP 120, DL 230530.0 kgs @ 82kgs UnEq | luke00 said: All of them: The major lipase in milk is lipoprotein lipase. It is associated with the casein micelle. Agitation during processing may bring the lipase into contact with the milk fat resulting in fat degradation and off-flavors. Pasteurization will inactivate the lipase in milk and increase shelf life. So that's your fat enzyme f**ked. Proteases are enzymes that degrade proteins. The major protease in milk is plasmin. Some proteases are inactivated by heat and some are not. That's your protein enzyme f**ked. Lactoperoxidase is one of the most heat-stable enzymes found in milk. Lactoperoxidase, when combined with hydrogen peroxide and thiocyanate, has antibacterial properties. It is suggested that the presence of lactoperoxidase in raw milk inhibits the disease causing microorganisms (pathogens) present in milk. However, since there is no hydrogen peroxide or thiocyanate present in fresh milk, these compounds would have to be added to milk in order to achieve the antibacterial benefits. Lysozyme is another enzyme that has some antibacterial activities, although the amount of lysozyme present in milk is very small. And there is some nice toxic chemicals added to the cocktail to make it safe to drink. MILK IS BAD. You don't have to give me a GCSE science lesson on what a protease is. What conspiracy website did you get this from brah? I think what we have here is a classic case of someone throwing around big words without considering the actual implications. Pasteurisation destroys enzymes in my milk, I sure wish I had some of dem dere proteases and lipases in my own gastrointestinal tract.. Just a side note regarding the small issue of public health, pasteurisation in developed countries has saved lives on a hall of fame level with vaccination and water sanitation. The incidence of TB, listeriosis, campylobacteriosis, E.coli food poisoning, and many others have all been heavily decreased in the UK (with a special emphasisis on TB) thanks to pasteurisation.

In actual fact f**k it, you can't have a healthy debate with someone like yourself. 22 years of age, probably at university and think you know it all. I have bottles of milk older than you, when you get your degree and actually take the theory side and start to learn by doing some practical application then come to me with a healthy debate. Milk really works for you - 82kg BW and you can't even squat double that, I'd get some whey in you.

It's just I'm struggling here to have a healthy debate with you when all you say is "that's a fact" to my counter points. Let's just address the core issue here: You: Milk is bad mainly because pasteurisation destroys enzymes in it Me: But we have plenty of those enzymes in our own digestive system You: this is a little thing called fact
