When you break your record again you'll forget about today but if you'd passed up the chance to squat with Lance you'd regret it forever. I think you did the right thing.

Just sounds like you were s**t to me Wink

Listen big lad, you know what went wrong this time (your mid-week antics) and you know to avoid that sort of caper in the future (well two days before a comp anyway Grin )

No-one can go 100% balls out day in day out - You just need to be a little smarter next time you try and bench press the world.

Still my hero Cool

You'll break your record next time I'm sure.

I do a lot of benching. Every time I go to the gym actually. BUT, the sacrifice is that I don't do any assistance.

Is this good? or should I drop some benching and do some assistance.

I am prone to training sporadically due to shift work etc and can sometimes go 4-5 days between workouts. Hence, the benching every session to ensure enough weekly volume.

cheers pal. Im not a great believer in assistaance unless you have a glaring weakness i.e tris . I believe benching regulrly assists benching . But saying that i do like to hit all angles, decline, incline, chains, pins etc

good luck Doc
