Is that a serious question?

Semi serious. Grin

In that case then yes I think in sport you probably do need to cheat to be the best, it appears. I don't know who's clean and who isn't nowadays so may be wrong.

As for 'cheating' at work then no, hard work is more than enough at work. IME cheating will come back n bite you (looks the same in sport too) and it may be just be a quicker rise in the hierarchy.

Lol!

I actually don't think what Lance did is a bad thing at all. Because they all did it. However, it is cheating.

Lance is a double hard bas***d and always will be. Cycling legend.

I don't agree

regarding it not being a bad thing, it would seem he demanded that those on his team doped, those that didn't had to leave the sport. doesn't sound good to me, never mind all the health issues

I also don't get why he is a legend at all. His team was better at not getting caught, or if they did get caught, covering it up, than all the other teams, if you think he just did what everyone else did you are deluded. He won races by being f**king awesome, he was awesome because of the doping! We don't know how good he would have been! And we never will

He is a legend, at getting away with things and generally being a c**t.

Had little sleep, not making much sense the day lol. Basically I mean combat sports should be on an even playing field because the risk of serious brain injury would be greater.

More and more boxers and mma, guys are getting caught, but the bans aren't a deterrent in any way

I think it's a fair point. If for example a fighter filled their gloves with say lead allowing them to hit 25% harder and this lead to thir oponent being killed then surely it would be manslaughter at the very least. If by contrast a fighter was to take PED drugs, and they increase his punch by 25% which lead to their oponents death then this would be exactly then same offence.

I wonder however if this could ever be proved enough to stand up in court

Antonio Margarito was caught with plaster in his gloves before his fight with Shane mosely. Since he was caught, he seems to have lost his punching power. Makes you wonder how long hes been getting away with it and if any other boxers were doing the same.

What if someone just naturally had a 25% stronger punch and killed his opponent? Does he get convicted of manslaughter for training too hard?

No, but he didn't cheat to gain 25% so it's not the same at all is it?

What do the rules of a sport have to do with the real life law?

What does cheating have to do with whether or not someone got punched hard enough to be killed?
