He has a 240 comp bench
josh is a beast.I saw him do a easy 200x5 bench just after a long holiday and a easy 305x3 boxsquat.and dips with 100kg for high reps at 100 bwt

Josh is a monster!

He trains high intensity, high volume, high frequency.

I don't think i've ever met anyone who trains as hard/often!

Squat/legs 3x a week, Deadlift 1/week, Bench 2/week + shoulders, back, arms etc.

6 days/week 3 hr sessions.

30 sets/session! It was insane

Sounds about right..he did some oly lifting before he squatted with us..he was running late so jumped in for his first set on 230 for reps..I said afterwards you know that's 230 right? He said no but I thought it felt too heavy for 170 lol

There's a Lithuanian guy who says he was a powerlifting and bodybuilding champion back home and judging by what he lifts and how he looks, I reckon he's legit.

I've seen him do 240kg squat for sets of 6-8, 180kg bench for the same and apparently he pulls 320+.

He's a beast!

Nice guy too, when he saw me lifting in kit once he offered loads of advice and stayed after he'd finished training to help with spotting and loading. Looks intimidating as hell, but actually a top bloke!

315 or 320 deadlift by an 18yr old. Last weekend saw an 830 training total, paused bench and all. Was impressive

Didn't happen in my Gym since I train in a shed at the bottom of my garden, but at Andy Littlers birthday bash ( one of them ! ) I watched Karl Grant Clean and Jerk 200kg which was impressive as hell.
I think he has actually done 210 since then and he ain't a young man !

When he used to train at OU Sport, Col_Austin was the strongest guy there. 300+ deadlifts and 350ish 18" pulls.

There was an American B team shotputter (or discus thrower, can't remember) who was power snatching 120 for fun. But he's now gone.

There was a Canadian powerlifter who had a 301kg deadlift at 105 BW as a junior. He's gone.

There's a big Welsh guy who can bench press 180kgs for reps for fun. He's still about.

BUT, what impressed (and baffled) me most was this one Chinese kid who pitched up to student 'trials' probably 3 years ago. Said nothing, noone had seen him before and quietly walked up the bar a pulled 250kgs without any fuss. Couldn't have weighed any more than 80kgs himself. He was invited to join the student PL team but noone ever saw him again.

Apart from that, there aren't many strong people about at OU Sport. When I'm in there, I very rarely see anyone pushing more weight than myself but then I try and train off peak when it's quieter.
