After being ill for TWO weeks at the beginning of the year, I got set back a lot. I've almost recovered, but still not where I used to be. February I joined a local gym with mirrors and 10 stone guys doing bicep poses left, right and centre. Still, £22.49 a month and right on my doorstep so can't complain.

Feb 2012 - Squat - 140kg x 3, Deadlift 170kg x 3, Bench 100kg x 3?

Aim is to get decent at strongman, so squat, deadlift/rack pull and shoulders. I don't train events too often, but usually I do OK at them come the big day.

Cleans
45kg x 3

75kg x 1
85kg x 1 = technique always goes to s**t when i go over 80kg and it's just a powerclean
90kg x 0 - see above

Jerk from racks
55 x 3
65 x 3
75 x 2
85 x 1,1
90 x 0 - I never get under the bar enough

Seated strict press, pausing each one on the pins. Think these are Ursus Press - bit like a Savickas press
55kg x 4,4

Rack pulls
100kg x 3
140kg x 3
180kg x 3
215kg x 10 second hold
235kg x 10 seconds
255kg x count to 15 (probably 10 seconds though)

Few speed pullups then home

Squats -

155kg x 1 belted
165kg x 1 belted
172.5 x 1 belted
182.5kg x 0 belted. Got out of the hole then got stuck

Close stance oly style squats. no belt
95kg x 5
115kg x 5
127.5kg x 5

Leg press - few sets of 5. Legs were wobbling

195kg x 1 - nice and explosive
205kg x 0 - didn't even break it off the floor :S

Hamstrings - single legged drop set.
Lots of 8s

Probably did some pullups and abs at the end (brain isn't working at all these past few days

Too lazy to train on Monday, passed out on the bed when I got in from work on Tues.

Knee hasn't been tracking properly since last week and it's clunking away whenever I lock it out. No legs for a little while

Deadlifts (can't seem to set the bands up right from the floor with dumbells, might double them up next time) so straight weight for speed work

NO CHALK for anything today.

Sumo deads

145kg x 3,3,3,3,3 all no belt

Vanilla Gorilla press
55kg x 5,4,3,2. All were as many reps as possible, maybe 60-90 secs rest between sets.

18" rack pull with 2 purple bands
100kg x 1
140kg x 1
180kg x 1
205kg x 1 - just about held it

No bands
205kg x 1 - bit better

One armed barbell row
50kg plus little bar x 8/8 8/8 then 5/5 holding the bit where the collar goes

Pullups - BW x 37. Stopped a couple of times but these were dead hangs. Technique wasn't textbook as I wasn't going all the way down but meh.
