Frequents the HOUSE of GAIN. Member 3836, 4233 posts SQ 225, BP 200, DL 300725.0 kgs @ 119kgs UnEq | I didnt go to college i scraped the grades i needed in high school to get into the army and was there from the age of 16 to 23, the biggest mistake i made was getting out iv been moving from one job to another through getting sacked or getting made redundant and even when i tried to go back into the army it took them over a year to send a rejection letter.

not much fun Member 374, 3172 posts | I didnt go to school most days(when I was in secondary school there was major teachers strikes). So when I went home I told my Mum strikes were on. I left school with next to nothing(2 grade 4 CSE's and 2 grade 5 CSE's) I now teach in a college and run the dept.

I took about £4 out of Sooty's bottom Member 685, 8719 posts SQ 225, BP 150, DL 290665.0 kgs @ 93kgs UnEq | Totally tossed it off. I was far too busy trying to touch girls to care about learning. Got as far as uni but f**ked that off after a few weeks and got a job in a pub. I've been 'lucky' enough to eventually get a fairly well paid job that a monkey could do. I'm trying to make sure Jnr doesn't follow my example but I fear the worst.

An amazing human being Member 2047, 17156 posts SQ 262.5, BP 170, DL 300732.5 kgs @ 108kgs UnEq | School was a f**kin doddle, which turned me into a proper lazy f**ker, ballsed up my first attempt at a degree then scraped through on my 2nd attempt!!! Often wish O could go back and do it again as well as never finding that delicious stuff known as booze!!!

Why get fat to look big? Member 1330, 4797 posts SQ 300, BP 200, DL 305805.0 kgs @ 107kgs UnEq | I did well at school and Uni, though could have tried much harder- was to busy getting mashed all the time at Uni to care though. Still ended up with a Law Degree and a Diploma in Legal Practice, but never ended up getting a job remotely related to law; possibly a wasted opportunity, but things turned out fine, and I've had a good time so far.

Ne n coner a fuickex .ay ouse part we .be Member 1425, 4647 posts SQ 340, BP 227.5, DL 335902.5 kgs @ 125kgs UnEq | The problem I had was I didn't know what I wanted to do in life tbh I still don't know what I wanted to do now back then academically I was very good at upper school until around 15 and then began to question everything and developed the attitude of f**k the system and most of my teachers said I was a promising student but disappointing I didn't apply myself to class work I managed 1 year at a 6th form and just couldn't handle how I was treated by teachers ( being treated as a child) so I left and opted for apprenticeship route I loved it was treated like an adult even at collage day release and from there I have just worked my way up through company Although I spend a lot of time thinking I sold out and conformed to the system I was so desperate to rebel against when I was younger so it may have just been better to give in then and get better qualifications to become a higher paid wage slave

My asshole is not watertight. Member 2926, 6050 posts SQ 217.5, BP 107.5, DL 225550.0 kgs @ 86kgs UnEq | I didn't try at all at school. Thankfully, I've got an ability to retain information with very little effort so did pretty well. f**ked around for a year at college so re-did it with different subjects, still didn't try that hard but again did ok. Started uni, hated what I took and dropped out after about 3-months. Started working for a few years and then decided to go back to uni at 23. By this point I'd done a few jobs including a trainee management scheme in a supermarket chain which was basically slave labour working 60+ hrs a week and also labouring on building sites. When I went back to uni it made me realise that it's piss easy as long as you at least try and will always be easier than earning a crust in the real world. So in short, NO i did not make the most of it up until returning to uni.

Skaven for the win !! Member 2490, 3589 posts SQ 180, BP 120, DL 230530.0 kgs @ 82kgs UnEq | In my immediate family (parents and my 4 siblings) I'm the first to even have more than a couple of GCSEs, let alone A levels, let alone higher education. My school was f**kin s**t, and my sixth form college is on its last legs with OFSTED. I do feel sorry for my brothers sometimes but it's not like they're unintelligent, they were just lazy.

Eat.Cycle.Sleep.Win Member 2, 12511 posts SQ 190, BP 150, DL 280620.0 kgs @ 99kgs UnEq Administrator | I was very lucky and found school stupidly easy. I was bored, my family life was a wreck and I hated being told what to do. As a result I barely went to school and did a lot of stupid stuff. I try to make my students enjoy as much of it as they possibly can. If they enjoy your subject, they tend to work a lot harder. If you give them attention for doing well, they tend to want to do well, especially if they dont get the attention they crave at home. Did I get a good education? Yes. Did I get the most out of it? Probably not. But I was never going to.

Still got a little bit of strength Member 400, 22043 posts | I loved school, but didn't put much effort in. I feel I was bigged up to be cleverer than I actually was. I believe now that social skills are far more important in life that having knowledge about stuff like latin! I only started to develop in this area at about the age of 30! My job has done me the world of good.

Gotta agree on the social skills Wayne from school I went straight into the work environment and feel pretty confident how to deal with people and how to behave in a professional work environment most of my mates went to uni and when they come back home they don't have a f**kin clue how to resolve situations through talking or how to interact with other people
