What is the strongest over the counter pain relief you guys all use?

I believe Co-Codomol is one of the strongest and i have used it on occasions of real lightening pain. Anything stronger without prescription, apart from taking more than the reccomended dosage!

Cheers.

I think it depends on where is painfull. I have been on everything for tramadol to morphine to even stronger.

Wheres the pain?

Personally nothing beats tramadol or anitripyline (not spelt right)

Tramadol is really good mate. If you can get that. Works amazing but can get quite addictive.

You should not be needing the strongest pain killer to stand up from a chair.

Why don't you address the underlying issues?

Make sure you rest and go and see a doctor so he/she can assess you and decide whether you need further examination/investigation.

OTC Painkillers- Paracetamol/Co-codamol (codeine+paracetamol)
OTC NSAIDS- ibuprofen, diclofenac (voltarol)

Certain things can be prescribed by your doctor if a combination of the above are not providing sufficient pain relief.

Co-dydramol (stronger codeine: paracetamol ration than co-codamol) and tramadol are the ones you're most likely to come in to contact with.

Max dose combination for over the counter painkillers would be:

Co-codamol (8/500) 2 tablets, 4 times a day (no more) & Ibuprofen 200mg, 2 tablets 3 times a day.

If you use just paracetamol and ibuprofen, go with paracetmol 500mg, 2 tablets 4 times a day and ibuprofen 200mg 3 times a day.

Go for co-codamol + naproxen (or any other NSAID)as others have suggested.

P.S: I think naproxen causes drowsiness.
