Davy and I are doing the Euro qual comp the day before, so it will be fun and games on the Sunday!

I hope you do the u105s, like you say, they always put on an excellent comp

Mixed bag of training throughout March April,
Weight still 91.5 in morning

Been working on my Athletics techniques & conditioning alot, and playing around with my weightlifting tech.
highlights have been 130 full clean, slowly getting closer to my current power clean no's with the increase confidence to get under the bar. still got a habit of unhooking my pinkie and ring fingers on both hands while dipping under the bar on the clean which f**ks me up when i stand up as i then need to try to get them back under again for the jerk. Beyond 120 jerks would all be classed as push outs so a lot to work, ref tech still required there.
Struggling with shoulder flexibilty on Snatch so now playing about with split snatch might be the way forward for me if i want to compete.
Plyos seem to be improving also , up to 3.18 and consistently over 3.10 for standing long jump and box jumps up to 57"
Dragged out my 13" log out of curiosity. 135 went up, WTF, fresh legs seems to be the difference, 140 was a no no tho,shoulder not happy,if i can get my right shoulder fixed, overhead should vastly improve...cleaned 150 with a bit of tech and handle placement tweaking.
Getting more confident in loading my back up, been a 3 yr long monkey on it, rack pulled from about 22" 310 no straps, held on for a few seconds before grip went, straps on 330 for a few, easier than i thought plenty more there. Hammering my grip every other day as i did last year didnt work for me it seems, as my grip is def improved with less work and more rest.
Everythink else seems to be coming on nicely with slow improvements in most lifts either by weight, rep or speed of execution.

In summary, less is def becoming more, with fewer injuries, and more consistent training as a result. enjoying my training right now.

snatch for first time in mths this wk, anything over 85 is a waste of time, shoulder still U S, c##t.

Front squat , various warm ups leading up to 185 grinder. Not as easy as last wks 190. 200 m track sessions caning me!?

Deadlift up to 16 x 200 t&g

Light plyo, core work and stretch to finish off.

Trained with my dads today, was nice to hang out and spend some quality time with.

Mostly machine BB Stuff.

Finished with

Power cleans, worked up to 5 x 3 x 100, last rep of eack set sat in the hole for 5 secs, kept just enough tension to stop back collapsing and elbows high before standing up as fast as possible.

Finished off with hang snatch 5 x 3 x 60.

some hip flexor band stuff.

60 m, jogging out to 100. started out at 9:00 sec, 8.4's, 8.0's, 7.8's, 7.62, 7.57. all nice and controlled for the first 30 and relaxed through the line, no tweaks.

box jumps, 48, 49.5, 51, 52.5, 54, 55.5, 57, 58.5 f, 58.5 x 3 with step in. prob the highest ive managed in a long while even with a step in, mat was about 3-4 inch above nipple height.

outside track, 200 x 2, 150 x 1, 120 x 1, 100 x 1, all about 80, serious lactic acid build up,

Jog out and stretch.

Tue 18th,

Warm up and stretch,

20min on rower,
10min steady pace,
30 sec bursts @95% with 1 min intervals for last 10 mins.
5 min rest 1000m in 3.23

Front squats,

with blue bands with double wrap round bar out wide, walk out under feet.
work up to 100kg sets of 3 with 5 sec pauses at bottom concentrate on keeping elbows high.

Back squats,

up to 140 with blue bands as above, sets of 5.

15 min on running machine.

Stretch out.

warm up, stretch and drills

8 x 60's up to 90% approx good strong drive phase, for 25m them relax last 35, use rest of the run out to slow down slowly to save shins.
some core work.

Tue

Front squats, with lots of wrist stretching pre, to allow my elbows to stay high.

heaps with bar,

40 x 5, 60 x 5, 80 x 5, 100 x 5, 120 x 5, 140 x 5, 150 x 3, 160 x 2, 170 x 1, 150 x 4, 130 x 8.
Back squat
140 x 10,150 X 8, 160 X 6.

Power cleans,

1/4 bench lift off and hold for 15 sec

Dips 20 slow to loosen up.

Warm up

8 x 60s jog out to 100.

Plyo jumps, vertical . Start approx 40" up to 54" x 3.

O head throws with weight bags 3 x 10kg, 3 x 15kg, 3 x 20kg all onto high jump mat 10 m behind. Tried 1 with 25kg bag from same distance away but fell short by about a mtr.

been a while since i logged anything.

training last night brought a new PB so will log for prosterity.

6" Deficit deadlift snatch hook grip. beltless.
40kg x 5,
60 x 5,
100 x 5
120 x 3
140 x 3
160 x 2
hold weight above floor each rep to maintain tension and back position. all felt good.
190 x 1 PB used wraps as thumbs were a bit tender.

6" deficit DOH hook
210 x 3
220 x 2

Standard DL 240 X 3.

Back slowly getting back to where it was 4 yrs ago,

Bench narrow grip

Good warm up tonight on rower then treadmill followed by 20min stretching.

Snatch drills, bar x many, 40 x a lot of power snatch singles OH squat each
40 x about 10 full snatch singles sit at bottom for about 5 sec each one before standing up.
Leg press 8 rep sets up to 250 full ROM.

Sat

Warm up stretch,

Flat bench
Bar x many, 40 x 20, 60 x 15, 80 x 10, 100x 10, 120 x 10, 130 x 9.
Sling shot 120 x 20 , 130 x 16
Paused 3-4 sec 100, 110, 120, 130, 135, most since injury.

Fast dips, 20, 30, 50, 64.

Leg machine isolation, full
