woke up at 6.30am,got most of my stuff ready night befor,got some breaky down me,packed car and left new quay west wales about 8 for what turned out to be a long ass drive....had to take dog to kennels,which i couldnt find.finaly got there at 1.45,had a qwick warm up then strait into it....

1st event 90kg log for reps
always bin confident with this event,was second to go and was expecting double figures,got 14 which won the event for meGrin
Not sure what every1 else got,I knw karl and mark smashesd out 10

2nd event 90kg farmers for distance
in training,was trying different weights and distances etc...felt good and was hoping to get around 60m,3turns....shower of s**t grip let me down again,and got last place with 44m...even if i got 60m,still would not have place higher,and all the lads got over 60m,i thinkConfused
mark and shaun were strong on this!

3rd event 125kg stone for reps over yoke
impoving alot on stones in training,so fairly confident with this event now,and got 5reps...tacky keept slipping...used a mix...think that was a big mistake...again mark and shaun smashed this event...i was joint 4th

4th event max floor deadlift starting at 180kg
this is normaly a weak event for me,but didnt let it bother me....180,220,240 all flew up....couple of lads failed 240 so i was defo gona 3rd..260kg was put on the bar,chalk,straps and salts boom!PB for me,was awsum to pull a pb at a comp....highlight of the day for me...shaun and mark also got it...went for the 270kg,broke the floor,but that was it...shaun failed it,mark smashed it...

5th event back to back tug of war
was realy looking forward to this event,somthing different....brilliant for the crowd aswel...was up against mark(sparky)and was best of 3,i beat mark but it was very tough...lung killer fairplay...next i was up against PAGAN,i knew i had my hands full here,i just went for it,he after a few secs,he wont the first pull,on the second again i just tried out power him,no chance,he even dragged me onto my back lol...i had one more battle with phill.i needed to beat him for 3rd place to maintain my lead...was a tough one again,but jus nipped him...

got 3rd place over all,was buzzing...well worth the the drive...mark and shaun were awsum,consistant right through....mark had 3 event wins aswel i think...all the lads put the effort in,and was hard work in bakeing sun...bob,what a top guy,and although it was all over in less than 2hrs,comp was well run....nice biker chick at the end giving out trophys aswel...spot on

first sesh back after bulldogs,had plenty of rest and felt realy good,so decided to go for pbs....in both the squat and bench there was defo a few more kgs there,but didnt wana push it...happy to jus get my totals up..start back proper training monday,may evan follow some type of programe...main goals are to just improve my grip and static...and maintain my conditioning..im happy with the rest realy...Grin

just a qwik sesh....shrugs i found difficult when doing 120kg,i thought my grip was coming along,was a real eye opener when i did welsh u90 and kept droping 250kg frame,it was wide but no excuse...my grip is s**t...think im gona need to do more than a few holds and wrist curls!!!!!!
