He beat Josh Barnett in ADCC, scary back in the day, great highlight. Also an avid powerlifter, reminds me a bit of A Overeem, in his presence.

His grappling was very underrated, he beat monsters like Josh Barnett and Ricardo Almeida. He also seems very well spoken and educated. Hate watching his later fights.

He said he's a very down to earth friendly guy, bit of party animal but sound all the same. Would love to have seen him with better cardio, apparently he had all the tools to become one of the greatest fighters of all time, watch Fedor v Randleman, vey class, Fedor is still my favourite.

I don't know how he keeps so calm and relaxed, I wonder if he ever thought about olympic judo. I think because his background is Sambo, probably made sense, money wise for him to fight mma with the massive pay outs in Pride. With his Poker face, you would never see it coming (lol). Nothing more scary than him getting suplexed and almost breaking his neck, then he ude-garami's him WTF?? Amazing.
