Scottish champion (105 pensioners) Member 363, 627 posts | Big well done to ken for winning Scotland's strongest man....great performance!! .....and also from Stevie....brilliant effort to the end!! Also to frank to take third place was very impressive....and very well deserved for all years he has been battling away!! Gutsy efforts from all the other competitors....especially to Martin an absolute gentleman always smiling  ...andy was very entertaining as mc as usual!!.....another awesome comp put on by Stuart and his crew!! | ||

Member 3708, 2 posts SQ 345, BP 210, DL 320875.0 kgs @ 106kgs Eq | Hi Guys, Well just a quick post to say thanks for all the calls and messages after yesterdays mishap.......the latest update is that i have a ruptured left achilles tendon and i'm in plaster at the moment and waiting for a date for surgery which will be possible tuesday and then plaster for 3 months!!!!! Suppose it was a hard lesson to be learned....not to pull an 18tonne truck with no training!!!!!who knows, maybe if i had done all the other events first i would of been warmed up and the outcome might of been different, but can't dwell on the what if's. well done to Stuart murray for a great comp and to all the other guys taking part in the event. see you all next year...hopefully. Events spot on, and all the weights just right, which is very hard to do especially when there's things like cars and trucks involved. Venue was perfect as well. Great battle between Ken and Cherrie, head to head axle was superb. Jeremy's and Dhanni's axles, Ken's medley, and Colin's stones were some of the highlights for me. Much better watching everyone get pretty much the majority of the stones, than trying to play basketball with the first couple of stones with the old 6ft platforms! | ||
