Another great session! Paticularly impressed by your log presses mate, much more weight is there with more leg drive I reckon.

Cheers guys. Alex I'll certainly try my best!

Olly - not too bad, just my lower back - was really looking forward to tearing up some deadlifts tonight, but my back has told me to wait until tomorrow.

Craig - Oh yes does it feel good! He will have to go and beat it now won't he?Wink

Joni - don't know! That is the date for my first cricket match of the season, plus it's my stag do next weekend - I just don't know!

Will do for sure Rob.

What do you guys reckon for one of these for the dungeon? Would be pretty cool...

your call, your dungeon Grin But i personally think inch dumbell is one of those things which are cool to try few times but not really train consistantly with.

So in comparison to a stone platform, tyre, conans wheel, more stones, keg etc, i personally would rate the inch db lower than them!

Strongman Saturday! 31/3

Log press
70kg x 3
80kg x 2
90kg x 1
100kg x 1
110kg x x,x,x,x First one very close, the others not so. Should get this soon though.
97.5kg x 1

Farmers holds
130kg x 1 min 8 secs PB Pleased with this. There's more there too.

Stones to 54 inches (no tacky)
105kg x 4,x,x
130kg x 1

Still struggling with the height of the platform for the stones. They feel light, I just can't seem to get the height necessary for the 54 inch platform. Log press was a bit disappointing as I was so close, this should fall soon. Holds were good, grip was still good so more to come hopefully.

Olly had a great session on the farmers (145kg per hand 20m), The machine had a great second session at the Dungeon, 100kg log, 130kg farmers for 20m and Joni nailed the 130kg farmers too and is constantly improving on the stones. Good stuff!

wow man, thats amazing! Or was that after they have done heavy farmers already, or repping some mad deadlift weight?

True - it was after squat for reps, log for reps, max 18 inch deadlift and conans. So they would probably be quite tired by then, although their grips certainly wouldn't have been over-taxed. (Then again farmers holds aren't necessarily about grip!).
