Why do some people wear a neoprene belt and a leather belt over the top of it?

I've seen loads of people wearing the Singlet suits and wondered why?

A guy at our gym used to have a neoprene belt and a 'proper' belt over the top. The neoprene one keeps the warmth in the lower back, while the leather belt gives support. Well that was his reason anyways.

The neoprene belt keeps warmth in you're back which saves you pulling it due to the muscles being cold.

Like he said and beat me to it.

You would be right, just uses the leather belt for the heavier lifts.

Using a wider neopreme belt seems to stop any flab lapping over the belt and rubbing /nipping

i do it too, feels better, i think the neoprene belt seems to make the 'proper belt' fit better, and more compact.

I do it for the reasons listed above and to hold my belly in so I don't look like quite so much of a fat c**t.

I used to do this when the gym we trained at was really cold in winter, it definately helped keep the back warm between lifts and in general felt very good.

i do this for the following reason s
1) keep warmth in the lower back.
2) Feels better with the ratchet belt
3) stopps the Uber Keg spilling all over the place
but with the leaver belts i remove the Neorene and just work with the belt on its own but keep it on with the lever undone

So its definatly worth investing in one as my lifts progress in weight.

Get down to poundland mate ( where the old halfords was in llansamlet ) they got loads of supports down there , the neoprene back ones are nice and wide and keep you well cosy Grin Cant go wrong for £1
