Stinking hangover + dry turkey and too much veg followed by a pudding that probably isnt allowed on ships = blargh. If I could just eat a plate of them little sausages covered in gravy id be ok. Cant get any different though, the missus' family are slaves to tradition. Why would you get steaming on Xmas eve. Makes no sense to me This year I'm working and have all the lonely people with no where to go coming round. Thinking about roasting a ham in hay. Then with everything else, spuds veg stuffing etc

If I am honest I find that a little bit sad. I will eat plenty and have the ocassional social drink over the festive period, but i could quite happily leave the drink out of it. I would rather do stuff with my daughter, or train

Very odd in my book | ||

Obviously drinking isn't big or clever but I see nothing sad about drinking every night over Xmas. I will have a social engagement every night from Friday 23rd through to Jan 1st and I expect to be anything but sad!

My daughter is only 3, and I would rather make the xmas period about fun for her than drinking for me. I am under the inpression that the regular drinking over the festive is no major change from normal for you anyway My issue was not really the having a drink at a social function, but more the focus being on the drinking rather than the function. If the drinking becomes more important than the event then I think it is sad.

I would not let one leave either, but... it might be worth making some more, as it does sound like a good addition

I love how calling it a 'social engagement' makes it sound nice, instead of you sitting in the park like rab C. http://files.list.co.uk/images/2011/09/13/2-lst090507.jpg
