 a cynical old scrote Member 68, 6840 posts SQ 255, BP 132.5, DL 250637.5 kgs @ 110kgs UnEq | Sugden's favourite weightlifter has his name down to lift in the President's Cup being held next week in Belgerod Russia. The event is an official qualifier for the 2012 Games in London, so I assume Misha is hoping to put his name in the frame for an Olympic spot. As much as I love him as a lifter, I think he has his work cut out. Also down to lift are Mr Chigishev (top Russian super of recent years), plus (I think) two of the top three from the Russian national champs where Misha bombed out in August. I vaguely recall reading somewhere (possibly Ironmind forum) that the fall out was due to him disagreeing with the training and, er, 'supplementation' they imposed on him, preferring to do.things his own way. | ||

Mogushkov (sp?) the 400lb Russian SHW didn't have the best showing at the world's and got 4th or 5th position with 3/6 good lifts. | ||
