Get a decent bench shirt.

a 380 total would be lucky to medal in the 83s in the olympics. He's a long way off

He is American, and it is well known how much Americans love the bench press. Every gym I went to there, even school gyms, almost everyone was benching.

He will have done a lot of bench press

If he had competed last year and lifted 380kg as a junior he would have been 4th on the junior world rankings, just 10kg off 2nd - yes he has a long way to go as a senior, but no further than most comparible juniors.

When snatching and cleaning the legs are very well used too so that may go someway to explain why weightlifters legs are do much stronger than in other strength sports

On a Different note Ian Wilson done really well and won the U17, His lifts are ridiculous for his age.

Although he only got 170 clean and jerk in Pan American games

I was looking at that guy Wilson's videos before and I came across one video from world youth championships.

I don't really know anything about Olympic weightlifting but in this video the guy Alexey Kosov lifting at around four minutes fifteen into the video looks like he has a much faster/easier clean than the rest of his category.
