in the gym guys defence ur deadlift is extremely strong and could imagine alot of people findin it hard to believe. did u tell him ur overhead is stronger than ur bench aswell?
good to see uv found a way of training around injuries too. keep it up, recover, n give us something better to read when ur healed Happy

solid graft Vausie, well done.

Next time sets with 102.5kg squat... keep that progress up and you'll be nailing plenty triples with 140kg, that would certainly make a difference to strength.

Now I need to listen to my own advice.... Happy

50kg x 5
50kg x 5
50kg x 5

Push press

60kg x 5
60kg x 5
60kg x 5
60kg x 5
60kg x 5

easy enough i suppose just getting bk into the groove as such its very hard when training alone to find the motivation to improve esp when i read the journals of guys on here training there cocks off and seeing improvements week to week this workout was light for me but i had to give it the proper respect i couldnt just walk up and throw these weights around iv had 2 much time off since dragons with injury's and stuff i would love to say my strength hasnt diminished but it has in myself i feel stronger than ever but when it comes to doin the actual weights im weaker than ever Confused aw well not to worry all winter to get the massive 100 OH and at least pull 220 again todays session all wrapped up in around 25 mins Grin

decent session that mate, i dont think i cud manage all them sets, notice i do 3-4 sets of around 4 reps.

have u ever considered push pressin n strict pressing seperately? i do 1 tuesday, 1 friday. 2 reasons really, i dont like goin an entire week b4 i press again and also have more energy to concentrate on each exercise. it might not work for every1 but worth thinking about maybe? i do dumbell work after my strict for added volume/assistance

also is ur 130 squat with knee wraps or sleeves or raw?
my squat was 130 with sleeves n i got a good 140, then about an inch off depth with 150 from using knee wraps so could add 20kg to ur pb.
best way to improve squat so i am told is to do it twice a week, i do 1day low reps 3-5sets/ another day 3sets of 8-10 reps for speed, n go low as poss. i also front squat on my light squat day.

i wouldnt worry about ur squats too much theyll soon improve, go back a few months n i could bench more than i could squat n my deadlift wasnt much more tbh.

id also get a 2nd opinion on my advice about squatting twice a week n training push/strict seperate.

paul dudley seems like a wise lifter, lets see what he thinks?

Haha, listening to me is probably not a great idea as I am pretty s**t....

However, my humble opinion would be to squat twice a week to improve squatting yes. Maybe 1 day do it first and another after deadlifts... make it progressive.

On the PP and Strict... that's what I do but lots of decent guys group it together... find what works for you. Also as PP 'downsets' I'll probably strict press too.

dom my man i used to do strict on a different day to pushies but during a training session which i planned to be a short snappy but effective workout to ease me back in i aimed for maximum penetration on the shoulders which is why the weights were light in all fairness i complain about keeping up with the other guys around my level and its personal standards tht is the main reason for disappointment in most of my workouts if i lift 80 OH i want 90 i do 90 i want 95 i FAIL 95 and its been a bad session regardless of wot iv done prior to the fail same with sets/weights i know i can set BW OH for 5x5 so starting again light is very frustrating because the progress isnt numbers going up rather easing into the weights i kno i can lift with ease and now carrying the extra BW i feel in myself stronger than ever but i CANNOT rush into anything i have done this befor and injured myself repeatedly trying to get bk with the guys tht are around me rather than taking 3-4 weeks to get bk into the swing of things P_DUDLEY is very modest in his achievements probably for the same reasons i beat myself up his standards are so high tht nothing will be good enough theres always another rep another 10kg another set to do, iv also had some tip top advice from the dragon himself SHANE "BUTTON" JERMAN regards sets and reps so like u say these guys kno wot there talking about and it would be foolish to ignore lol

ye i too get frustrated starting light, i get bored to quick n again feel like im tryin to catch people up abit n so get impatient for progress. just got to be patient like the better athletes, so looks like ur on the right track, like u said dont need to rush into big lifts n get injured.
