Still got a little bit of strength Member 400, 22044 posts | I know I'm barely average on here, but even an average Sugden member is way way stronger than the average untrained guy on the street. I've always been known for being strong, even as a kid.

Member 2437, 305 posts SQ 180, BP 90, DL 220490.0 kgs @ 92kgs UnEq | The average guy will percieve the average strength trainee as "strong", regardless of their actual ability. I'm regarded as the "strong" one at work, working with offenders with mental health problems. As you can see from my numbers, I'm far from that. I certainly don't want to be weaker

Still got a little bit of strength Member 400, 22044 posts | Does nobody feel there's a certain responsibility attached to being "the strong one"? Maybe I want someone to look after me for a change

That's like saying never pick up a weight unless you're destined for the world stage. Only a few people can be freaky f**king strong, but absolutely everyone can be strongER

I think you can develop a reasonable picture, here. Now, compare my physical abilities, to someone of that description

Maybe I want someone to look after me for a change I get what you mean it is hard to explain to people i think with me it has alot to do with my age most of my friends even the ones who train with me are all alot lighter in body wieght and generally look younger so when things kick off i end up sticking up for people for example my friends younger brother who is 18 and about 10 stone soaking wet was once getting choked out outside a pub by what must have been a bloke in his 30's who weighed about 18stone of fat all you kinda feel a duty to step in but as for someone to look after you i have a close group of friends who would literally put there life on the line for me and i would for them and i find it weird alot of people dont have a group like that
