Your right there Neil- I only managed to press it for the first time this year! Would be nice if it was 60kg to start with. At least they've got a loadable yoke now- i had to train on the old one, it was 250kg empty (not sure if you'd tried it, they scrapped it a while back) Almost killed me!

Nah ben, I never had the joys of training with the old yoke, although I sometimes wish it was still there as it's a bit of a pain in the arse having to put the yoke together and having to take a socket set with you to the gym.

Was gonna go down and watch the FITT strongman comp at the beach in Aberdeen today only to find out that it had been cancelled due to adverse weather (which it appeared consisted of nothing more than it being a wee bit breezy and some drizzle)this morning so I decided to train instead.

Deadlifts:
Warmups up to 150kg
170kg X 5
180kg X 3
200kg X 5 rep PB
220kg X 1
230kg X fail, think I'm getting a bit of a mental block about deadlifting anything over 230kg as I've failed any time I've tried it in the past few weeks. I'm just gonna give up on trying it for a while until I'm doing reps with 220kg and then give it another go.

Bent Over Rows:
100kg X 4 sets of 6

Seated Cable Rows:
90kg X 4 sets of 10

Hammer Curls:
20kg X 4 sets of 5

Just went through the motions really after deadlifting was finished but still a solid enough session.

Axle:

warm up to 67kg

77kg X 5
87kg X 3
97kg X 4 rep PB.

Viking Press:

80kg X 4 sets of 6

Circus DB:

40kg X 3 sets of 5 on both arms.

gave up after this as the gym got so busy people were literally tripping over one another. This is why I hate going after 6PM.

Front Squats again today.

Front Squat:

warm up till 80kg

95kg X 5
110kg X 3
125kg X 5

Overhead Squats:
60kg X 4 sets of 8

Deadlifts:

worked up to a big new PB of 240kg in my new suit. Got the suit today for a comp I was due to compete in a week on Saturday which was subsequently cancelled due to lack of numbers but thought I might as well try it out anyway. Found it quite awkward at first but got the hang of it and hit 240kg fairly comfortably so rather pleased with the days lifting.

Yeah the 240kg looked really comfy for you , that suit seemed to give you a fair bit more confidence/strength !

Yeah, there was only me and 2 other guys confirmed for it so they had to cancel, just have to concentrate on Dumfries now.
