I also downed a strong instant coffee and it tasted not too bad for a change. In I went to the gym after my two odd weeks off, my asthma and my cold. I scouted the area for a powerbar for five or so minutes and as the one on the red bench which no-one uses lay empty and unclaimed for that time I decided to grab it and set up a squat rack. One of the regulars from the gym shouted that I'd stolen his bar and I thought he was having a laugh so thought nothing of it. SQUATS Sore wrists today 150kg (in video) 152.5kg FAIL NEW SQUATS 1rm = 150kg. 2.5kg down on my last PB Overheard guy telling someone that I'd stolen his bar. Whoopsie, looks like I've trodden on some toes. Fun times. BENCH New wider grip to decrease R.O.M. 3 sets of 4 reps with 90kg 1 set of 7 reps with 90kg HIGH NECK SQUATS second approach. 2 sets of 6 reps with 100kg (2nd set in video) FRONT SQUATS 2 sets of 5 reps with 70kg (2nd set in video) PLYOS 2 sets of exercises CONCLUSION Squats felt terrible and painful from the off today. Bench felt reasonable but I was honestly hoping to take a new squat PB today. My 6s have improved dramatically over the past 12 weeks but the single has dropped by 2.5kg. Next step for me is more volume on squats. I'm also gonna be spending less time on here. I think that I have an internet addiction and believe it'd do me good to spend less time online. VIDEO | ||

It wasnt too long ago that you nailed that 152.5 ! 1 bad day on the squatting doesnt mean you are in decline , tomorrow you could be smashing 155kg | ||

I'm loving the fronties atm tbh , they felt such a hard lift on the first day but now im really enjoying them and i think/hope they are helping with my back squats,so hopefully they can help you as well | ||

So far in my book you're probably the lifter of the year. You've come on a frightening amount this year and I'm both 'mirin' and jelly of your blog! sd1656, I don't think it's gonna be all that long until you're looking back at me as that chump with the 150 odd squat haha. If you keep training like you are and keep on eating plenty, you'll be flying by me that's for sure. Olli1990, you're right man. We're all up and down I guess. I'm gonna try again to reach 155 in the next few weeks.
