The under 90s go the day started, and Adam Middleton and Arram Eghoyan had a great battle for the title. Arram had it claimed at 245kg due to reps completed but went on to lift 255 to set it in stone. Mark Wilson also did over a triple bodyweight lift to claim the pound for pound title, a great lift. In the 105s, another great duel occurred between Jon B and Liam Allison. Jon nailed one lift changing his grip mid way through which got everybody cheering once he nailed it. Unfortunately for him Liam just had enough in the tank to claim 265 and the trophy. As for the opens, a 3 way battle at the top turned into a real fight, with nothing separating Luke Fullbrook, Richie Allen and Dane Taylor. Dane protested before the qualifiers that his back had been playing him up and was clicking, but he managed to storm the qualifiers which helped him claim the open title with a lift of 315. Dane lifted not only the most reps in the qualifiers, but also made 7 lifts during the 1RM lift off, attempting every weight put on the bar! A well deserved win. The video will follow shortly! | ||
