best quote ever - esp. applicable to those who moan and moan about training and give all sort of excuses why they can't, couldn't, wouldn't etc etc...

"We got into this foster care thing. We talked to a couple that took in two crack addicted kids. One is blind, the other cant breathe on his own.Do you know what their life entails? One of them stays up everynight and rocks these kids all night as they shake and twitch and they have to clear their nose so mucus doesnt shut off their breathing.Thats everynight over and over again.

Then the next day,the other parent takes over while the other one sleeps. No going out,no having fun, just taking care of two sick kids. Why?Because they love those two kids.THATS a sacrifice and a burden and suffering in silence.Think they b**ch about not sleeping? You talk to them and they love their lives, they are happy to make the sacrifice.

This is life. Life is hard. If you want to lift, lift. If you cant ........ dont f**king lift. But dont act like your making huge sacrifices to do so when compared to the rest of the world we arent doing s**t. Find a way to do it, or get the f**k out of it."

another boooooooring session; although its probably the first pain-free (knees) session in a month, so I'm quite happy.

Squat

worked up to a hyoooge 105kg*5 squat

Bench (speed work)

worked up to 80kg for several reps

and then did some pointless assistance work and had a discussion with lads at the gym; did some serious overthinking and rehashed some old played-out arguements on various typical lifting topics Grin

Sumo Deadlifts

worked up to 180 kg for 2 sets of 4

failed a couple of reps for lock out issues related to technique but otherwise weight was very easy.

Bench (speed)

worked up to 90 kg * 5

Close grip bench

2 sets of 5 at 80 kg

Back work: a bunch

have a sore throat and pretty bad cold so kept it light and simple.

Squat
worked up to 120kg*5 (pain free)

several sets of pause squats at 60 kg

and then did a bit of spotting. Highlight of the day was witnessing a deep and easy 4 times bodyweight squat.

I thought having someone step on your foot with 215kg on the bar was your highlight

Took it easy today; squatted a relatively easy 140kg for 3 and called it a day. Left knee felt dodgy all the way thru and had some technique issues as I wasn't used to squatting with a belt.
