Lads,

I have googled this and can't find an answer.

I have a hole in the waste pipe from the bathroom sink, it is on the outside of the house. It is about 2 inches across and f**k knows how it got there. I can't wrap anything around the pipe as it is too near to the wall and is on a bend.

Anyone know what product I need to buy to patch it up?

replacing the pipe is a no go as it would mean proper work i.e. getting rid of cement or whatever where it is going into the house.

thanks in advance

With anything DIY related I always say to the Mrs, "I'll just leave it, whats the worst that can happen?"

Sorted!

How about fibreglass/car body filler, if you can get to the hole enough to put a bit of metal mesh over it for the filler to adhere to.

lol... when the sink is run it drips from the pipe and splashes up the kitchen window.

i am in portsmouth right now, she has got a plumber going round later to have a look so hopefully he will sort it but I've only got two days over the weekend to get a myriad of s**t jobs done to keep her happy

There is a rubber tape which can be wrapped around the waste pipe which will stick to itself, or a rubber patch with jubilee clips if its an old style copper waste pipe. plastic pipe can perish over time so might be better to get plumber in!

Plumber did pipe and a leaky tap (washer) for a tenner!

Not at home to inspect the craftsmanship but it'll be a damn sight better than mine would've been

So let's see if I'm understanding this, your partner rings a plumber and explains that you're away and she has a 2inch hole in her waterworks that needs filling and he comes round and sorts it for a tenner with no call out charge??Confused
