Entries up to 24 by todays post.Mark N. has indicated that the powerlifting and single lifts will take place together according to your bodyweight class.I.E.Lifters in the single lifts Bench Press will compete in the same lifting group as the Powerlifting Bench Press according to bodyweight class.
Hope that helps ,but if not please email me and I will explain further.
We anticipate a good entry so please get yours in early to avoid disappointment if we get over subscribed and have to close the entry earlier than planned.
Best wishes to all.
Regards,
Paul

Just officialy accepted my place at SMUC for september so will defo be competing for some Uni trophies.

We should look to set up some inter-uni competitions, maybe a league? how do we go about doing that?

Looking forward to it.

Is not universtiy powerlifting already governed/coordinated by GBPF? Who is sanctioning the BUSA Champs in November?

Bournemouth University Powerlifting team are looking forward to competing against the SMUC Powerlifting team at the BDFPA All England in October and hopefully later in the year in an Inter University match between both on a date and venue to be agreed.
Although through the good offices of Bournemouth University we(B.U.) have tried to get the new BUCS organisation to re-instate/recognise Powerlifting they have not added it to their list of recognised sports.
With everyones help we intend to (positively) keep trying.

Paul Rees

GBPF used to do BUSA (now known as BUCS) but BUCS no longer recognises powerlifting, as Paul Rees says above. So basically GBPF and BDFPA are both running their own university championships, unaffiliated to any official university sports organisation.
