Numbers is a bit trickier but lets throw some biggish numbers out: UNequipped squats: 120kg Equipped squat: 160 (eek!) Unequipped bench: 80kg Equipped bench: 100kg Deadlifts: 180kg I think those numbers are only just on the fantastic side of that line between reality and fantasy-land. To be honest as long as I see continual progress, remain healthy and injury free and keep enjoying and getting lots of competition experience then I will be happy | ||

You will improve there the fastest judging from your general strength levels, also it is the area where you would gain the most to your total, so it is worth investing in a lot of squatting. Same for alex, which is why 160 squat goal sounds like a solid one i think. I dont believe pulling some goal numbers just out of the arse though, they need to be ambitious but not out of this world, otherwise there is no point in stating them if they are like Ollys goal of squatting 500lbs by end of this year I'll have a think about this, i think PL total wise i am happy if i get the same gains than this year which has been 30kg to my total. But need to think about the breakdown. | ||

One Sexy MoFo Member 101, 2470 posts | My first goal is to get over this back injury which just seems to be getting worse with time, not better. My main goals for 2008 are to compete in a divisonal in April and qualify for the unequipped nationals next September. I've learnt my lesson in setting overly ambitious lofty goals, so the lifts I'd like to get at next year's nationals (assuming I qualify) are: 200kg Squat 150kg Bench 272.5 Deadlift That's a 622.5kg total @ 90kg which should in theory be easily acheivable in the next 10 months. I'm sure I've said that before though. | ||
