Hi just wondering what ideas people have for what exersises I can do and contaptions I can buy so still train as much as possible while recovering from this

Already thought of the obvious
Leg press, leg ext, hamstring curls, hack squat, 1 arm DB

Loz suggested a hip squat belt.

Anyone got any ideas?

ironmind are bound to sort you out with one of their hip/squat belts

Theres some Youtube vids of Kevin Nee training with his arm still in the metal brace. Pretty sure he was doing the yoke. Might be worth having a word with him.

Safety bar box squats, for some reason they're the hardest thing i've ever done, work your whole posterior chain.

These. I'm sure there's one that you can use to deadlift with. Alan Collins knows all about them and will probably be able to help. Get well soon!

I believe Felix worked on one-arm pulls a fair bit. As Tony suggested, he'd be a good man to call - he lost remarkably little during the several months his arm was in a cast.

the hip belt is also good for sled dragging etc which i did when my arm was in a sling.

though doing sled dragging for 1-1.5 hours can get on your nerves a bit Grin

the hip belt squats themselves are very hard, and i am happy not having to do them any more!

Would using a safety squat bar be possible with just one arm to hold on with? If so could be a sound investment!

you can squat using no hands with a SSbar Terry. We use one from Watsons.
