I can see both sides of the arguement and agree with you it's not the same logic being applied to age catergories as weight catergories. It's actually an IPF rule that was changed quite a few years ago (2005 I think), not a BWLA/GBPF rule. I actually think it's correct - the age classes records were, IMO, introduced to give older lifters a chance of setting records, not to give younger lifters an easy record because they are not as good as older lifters. Personally I think it would be a good idea if lighter lifter could set records in heavier weight classes | ||
