Was the wise man Mr. Miaggi?

Strangely enough it was a guy who did business consulting but i thought it made sense and you can apply it to most things.

Thats what ive done with my training - i was s**t at overhead to i focussed on that and not im much better. Currently doing the same with deadlifts and some events.

ha ha. ME=max effort, DE=dynamic effort, RE=repetetive effort.
yeah, it's Westside stuff, you can tell I train with powerlifters. Seems to have worked for me, but now I need to get a bit more Strongman specific, hence my proposed training plan for after my hols in a few weeks, which will be sticking to a similar plan but with a few different exercises.

As follows...

Mon
Upper
Axle press
Upper back stuff

Tues
Lower
Front squats
Axle cleans

Thurs
Upper
RE Bench
Strict overhead
Triceps

Fri
ME Squats/Deads
core/abdominals

plus events training when I can and possibly 'Patio next to lawn' log press sessions and some kettlebell swings/snatches when I get the chance.

Looks like a lot to me - i would be careful not to overtrain.

From this week im doing this:

Monday:
Squats
Assistance
Cardio

Friday:
Push Press
Strict Press
Axle Cleans
CGBP

Sunday:
DL
Log
Moving Events
Loading Events/ Stones

Can train Tues-Thursday so have to split it like that but finding that less is more when it comes to gains.

The thing is I train in my dinner hour, so each session is less that 1hour, probably 45-50 minutes. I've trained 4 times a weeks for years, I'm just adding in the odd bit of conditioning and log when I can, and events at the most every fortnight.

lol, I appreciate any advice, that's why I've started my journal on here, I just reserve the right to ignore it. ha ha.
Seriously though, I'll see how it goes. It's the event training that really takes it out of me, so it may be that when I've get events planned I knock the Fridays training on the head for that week.

The reason i had to switch my training round was because events were taking that much out of me on a Sunday that i could deadlift for s**t on a Monday.

Thats why ive started doing DL at the start of an events session as its my weakest event.
