Andy okane won by half a point from a local lad called Alex.Andy okane looks a very good allround strongman with no real weaknesses, but Alex could be the one to watch ex rugby player who broke his neck and had to give up the rugby,only been training strongman about 6 months and looked inexperienced on some of the events ,but massive massive potential fast strong and powerfull and a sound bloke as well.And ripped to the tits at 89.8k.The only possible weaknesses for you northern guys would be the overhead ,guy called shane who did the northern u105k won it with 8 reps and then the next best was 4 or 5 reps,everywhere else 4 strong competetive guys going through from the midlands qualifier! Having said that of the 4 guys who went through 2 trained with Dave Meer and 2 trained at no limits gymn who between them supplied all the kit,whether they would do so well on different kit will be interesting to see! | ||
