Lower back ache/pain?

Alright lads, think i pulled a muscle the other week deadlifting. Its eased off the pain as i eased off my training, but headed back this week to at least do somethings. Just wanting advice really. It's still an ache, like when i wake up, it'll ache, or when i get up after sitting down for a while it'll ache, but only when i lean back (like limbo position lol. I havent squatted/deadlifted for 2 weeks and just wanted to know what i should do. If i train it doesnt hurt, i use deep heat for it too.
Ideas?

What's the problem ? Just take pain killers you've obviously done nothing major and you've had 2 weeks off.Happy

If you've taken 2 weeks off and it doesn't hurt when training then it's fine. I'm sure there is not one guy on here who wakes up in a morning without some niggle or ache. If yuou are worried see a physio therapist and they will let you know. You can always tell whether it's muscular or skeletal and remeber 'pain is just weakness leaving the body'Happy

I have got really bad lower back ache at the minute but I know when it was caused and why - which is half the battle. You have been sensible and like I say if you are really worries see a physio

If I were you ice and heat treat the area at night. Look at you posture when sitting down and if I were you keep mobile.
Leave the heavy stuuf fir another couple of weeks andstart doing some stretching of the lower back, hamstrings, hips and glutes including the priformis.

I disagree totally. Lower backs are massively complicated and mine is fooked. I have no idea if its muscular or skeletal and mine came round from having a bad back the went away, had no oain for a while then BOOM its f**ked and dont know how or when i did it.

Not trying to scare you owen just get it checked out if you aint happy with it

Okay well i arent gonna gym again till monday so see how it is then. Just f**king hate doing nothing, even though its better than f**king it up.
I wont be going heavy till it feels good as new.
Ill stick some more ice on now.

Dude robbo speaks sense if I were you rest it fir a couple of weeks more and keep mobile by walking and doing normal activities. There are a few of us on here that are suffering big time with lower back issues me included. Stretching with good form and kepping mobile will help IMO. But doing the movements that caused the problem with out letting it healand settle down and eviver will lead to bad things IMO. May e a trip to the sports therapist or osteopath might help.

from reading this topic if i was owen i would be s**tting myself

just to recap owen

in two weeks ull be in a wheel chair and 6 months time u wont be able to get out ur bed
