 The Giant of the Winter Giants Member 155, 132 posts | So I have 3 dates for comps around the country may, june, july, nothing signed as of yet, (as well as winter giant's 10) right now would be via invitation. Just looking at all the conversations about event's and competing & I thought we could fit in another comp (that doesnt clash with anything on the sugden comps calender) before the these dates to give everyone a chance to earn a possible invitation to the above? upside: would involve prize money & include more athletes, & the "big boy's" will probably have other commitment's. downside: would have to be at the same venue as winter giant's (to keep cost's down)& require entrance fee & have more athletes. And nothing has been signed yet.. If I wait till things get signed, it will be to late to fit something into the calender. I need genuine interest for me to look into this further...feb, march or april at a push. anything to say please do. | ||

The Giant of the Winter Giants Member 155, 132 posts | obviously i have to work around felix also.... he only has feb empty... looking at the sugden comeptitions board, weekedn of the 20-21 feb, is free.... min log would be 110kg, min dead would be 310kg (im told), how does this fair? | ||

With regards to weights of log and dead, I think having a 110kg log is perfectly fine, but a 310kg dead seems a bit out of balance. If I remember correctly, Winter Giants was 125k log, 310k dead; IMO for this a 110k log and say 290kg dead would be more balanced. | ||

The Giant of the Winter Giants Member 155, 132 posts | 270 dead... 110 farmers, carry &loading 90-100-110 stones (normal) log 110 and one other that can be done in pairs also struggling with dates later in the year that wont clash, | ||
