I'm Wiegieboard, real name Neill Wylie
I'm a 25 year old Male from just outside Glasgow in Scotland and have recently started powerlifting at the Palace of Arts in Glasgow.

I played with weights when I was a wee baby boy of 16 and 17 years old before taking Wrestling, boxing and jiu jitsu more seriously.

After a bad health problem at the tail end of 2006, I quit these sports to try and regain my health. It's now 2009 and in August, I became well enough to start powerlifting, since then, it's been great fun. I love the sport.

We're now into the start of November and I'm gonna start posting my logs over the last couple of months and from now on in.

That takes us up to the present I guess.

I'm looking for a good single on my benchpress next week. To do more 8s on my squat and do more 8s on my Deadlift.

I'm doing the Strathclyde Uni liftoff in December you see with Toby and Allen.

Did I meet either of you boys at the unequipped a few months ago at the palace. I was the guy who bombed his squats and shouted his way though his deadlifts

Yeah Drew you met myself and Bryan, but I don't think you would of met Neill, no doubt will in the future though as he's keen on doing powerlifting comps.

Thanks for the warm welcome everybody.

Drew, na I wouldn't have met you at the unequipped. I only really started training in August there and have a long way to go yet.

Finch, you should see my hillsprint hill, it's an absolute belter. In fact, it's probably more of a cliff than a hill. If there was a picture function I'd put it up.

Tuesday October 3rd 2009

I wanted to do my squats tonight after college but took pretty ill during the night. A combination of asthma and this cold/flu I believe.
I also believe that it wouldn't be fair to turn up at training to work with a partner, sniffing and sneezing through all of my sets.I learned whilst wrestling and boxing that even a week or twos lost training can set an elite athlete back several weeks, so for me as a newbie to gain 5 Kgs easily when they lose out on a peaking cycle isn't right in my mind.

I'm hammering the vitamin C, fruit, vegetables, greens and red meat. If I'm good by Thursday, I'll do todays session then and go back to my deadlifting on Saturday as per usual.

I'm gutted yea, but s**t happens and you gotta deal with it in the fairest way.

Thanks for the welcome and well done for choosing facial hair!
Nothing defines manliness better than a robust and valiant beard.
I'm hoping that like Samsons locks, it'll bring me strength haha.

I used to have a longer beard than you but took it back to stubble. In the midst of a dilemma of whether I should go for it again.

One area I win in is that I've got the hair but unfortunately unlike Samson, it hasn't brought me strength lol!
