some nice relaxing jazz. Member 77, 12599 posts SQ 265, BP 165, DL 280710.0 kgs @ 93kgs UnEq | Don't think so but then again most don't when doing this style of benching. Neither is a pause in fashion Although it did look the cleanist 1000lbs bench out of the 3-4 done

Does f*ck all for SugdenBarbell.co.uk Member 1, 7173 posts SQ 182.5, BP 110, DL 205497.5 kgs @ 107kgs UnEq Administrator | Yea I agree it looked pretty good, better than some of the joke ones done in the past. Hard to tell if he locked out with left or not due to the angle and someone being in the way - but it looks as if it was up then came down a little perhaps. Incredible amount of weight... 470 kilos.

The fact that it looks better than the last few awfull attempts. It's either correct or it's not.If you watch the vid when the spotters take the bar you can then clearly see his arm lockout after the rack command. Massive weight or not the standard should not be lowered to allow for this.

Weak training is still training. Member 63, 260 posts SQ 135, BP 110, DL 195440.0 kgs @ 78kgs UnEq | I was thinking about this weight the other day and its sometimes hard to even contemplate just how much it is. So heres something i thought of just to visualise that kind of weight, close your eyes and picture someone in your gym benching with 11 plates a side!!!! obviously it wouldnt fit but just imagine what it would look like!!! Amazing

I'm more impressed by massive IPF lifts like Henry's 440 squat, but still, even holding 470 kilos in your hands is mind boggling never mind pressing it.

I am a bench-only guy Member 3, 10032 posts SQ 185, BP 175, DL 235595.0 kgs @ 140kgs UnEq Administrator | Unfortunately, Tony, we have to accept that the "clown feds" don't do the powerlifts, they do other things which are similar and which they call to choose by the same names. The BPC have cut back a bit on the silly-high squats, but in the end if you want proper judging then you're not likely to find it in the multiply untested feds. Still incredibly impressive and good entertainment, but as already said, no pause, not fully locked out, not a proper comp bench. And that's before we start on the open-backed shirts.

Picca Boo Member 16, 1204 posts SQ 140, BP 130, DL 200470.0 kgs @ 77kgs UnEq | I see where you're coming from Tony, his left arm doesn't look locked out to me. I know that it is very impressive to be able to hold 470kg nevermind press it, but I would be more impressed if he dropped it to 400kg and did it completely proper.

Weak training is still training. Member 63, 260 posts SQ 135, BP 110, DL 195440.0 kgs @ 78kgs UnEq | Rick, whats wrong with open backed shirts? if your going to use clothing to help you lift, why not let them wear what they like?
