I'm going with old reliables for my top 3 prediction. Hopefully experience means they won't drop points: 1 Big Z 2 Shaw 3 Carron Day 1 - Max Log - Superyoke - Bag Toss - Car Squat Day 2 - Hummer Deadlift - Sandbag load, wheelbarrow push and Arm over Arm Medley - Circus Dumbbell reps - Stones Final Lineup Brian Shaw JF Caron Gabriel Rhéaume (Canada strongest man) Trey Mitchell Jerry Pritchett (hips sore?) Adam Bishop (British Strongest Man) Big Z (Latvia's strongest man) Gabriel Peña Evan Singleton (Giants Manchester) Graham Hicks (coming back off injury) Kevin Faires Aivars Smaukstelis Maxime Boudreault (broken finger) Konstantine Janashia Bobby Thompson Mikhail Shivlyakov

I think 200kg will be mid table with the pressers they have. Bobby, Mitchell and Maxime B all hit 205kg in WSM, but day 4 of the competition. Bobby has done 217.5 to get the American Log Record and Mitchell is gunning for him. On form Hicks can beat that, if he's not saving it for Giants Live the week after. Then you've Z hitting 200kg in competition last weekend. Can he come out of nowhere and break the record the week before Giants Log for Max?)

Member 4646, 1964 posts | Post Edited: 25.08.2021 @ 13:31 PM by Mikeneto I think Brian will win due to his constant testing of the equipment 'for the benefit of the competition and competitors '...I think Trey will do well...he is good at all the static events and has not been injured as far as I can tell, same for Bobby Thompson.

Both lifted 455lbs. Trey went first after 455lbs and failed 470lbs. Bobby opted to go for the American record and failed 480lbs. That meant they shared first points. Hicks got 455lbs up, but lost balance before the down signal. Points at end of day 1: 1)Mitchell 55.5 (joint 1st log, 2nd Yoke, joint 5th bag toss, joint 2nd squat) 2) Shaw 49.5 (mid table in log, 4th yoke, 2nd toss and joint 2nd squat.) (impressive 420lbs log sharing points with Z to take joint 4/5th, 9th yoke, 4th in toss, joint 2nd in squat.) 4) Thompson 46 5) Janashia 38 Maxime 37.5 (Annihilated the bag toss) Z 36 (lost a lot of points on bag toss, got 2.5 of 16 point available. Commentator Terry Holland's suggested his shoulder was hurt in log. Z passed trying 440lbs log.) Faires 35.5 (20reps in squat. 2nd was 16reps.) Singleton 34.5(rested squat due to knee issue according to terry day 2.) Bishop 30.5 Aivars 28.5 Hicks 25 (Abductor pain when he took the weight of the squat. Collapsed to knee) Shiv 22.5 (may have been injured in Superyoke. Limping in Bag Toss.) Rheaume 17 Pena 6 Pritchett 5.5 (looks broke.) Above robbed off reddit user https://www.reddit.com/user/XyloArch/ who has event points too. Shaw did the squat like a sumo deadlift wide stance with a breath pause at the bottom. Everyone else used a bounce and breath at the top.

He wasn't using and legs in log. He collapsed immediately to one knee when he took the car frame weight. I'd be surprised is he's recovered for 6 days. s**tty airplane seats for hours certainly won't help. Shaw Club are asking people not to post the results or talk about show. Shiv put up some results and got in a bit of bother. All removed off Instagram. No back stage from stoltmans or Novi (Novi is there.) I think they are killing the show hype. Its only 6 days to ESM and everyone will have forgotten Shaw Classic. Especially if Luke or Biby do a record log.
