I wouldn't get disheartened. I never went over 95kg on bench, then i got to test my 1rm and hit a 140! I was like no way in hell is my bench even going to remain the same, let alone go up. You never know.

Thanks, that's cheered me up. That's the trouble of hitting AMRAPs when already fatigued I suppose!

This was a good squat session. Comparing this with an absolute grind 140 x 3 just 4 weeks ago, things are definitely looking up. My left adductor was fine on squat and deads then spasmed immediately after. Don't know what's going on with it. (86.7)

This was ok, apart from the gym being really hot. Was supposed to do 5 sets of 6@80kg but the last rep of the 4th set was a grinder, so I left it. Satisfied with that tho. Chins felt pretty good. (86.7)

This was a satisfying session. Finally starting to hit reasonable weights (for this stage of my training). I'm finding out about the importance of consistency again. Too much forward lean/knee travel here and there. SLDLs were pretty damn hard (87.7)

Good session today. Squats went pretty well today. There was no real danger of not making the reps. Deadlift, on the other hand, was rather harder. They felt heavy, and because it was still warm in the gym, my grip was a bit iffy. On the final rep of the last 2 sets my grip was on the verge of slipping. Anyway, I made the reps. (86.9)

That was it. Even though my deadlift best is 10kg up on 6 weeks ago, I don't feel particularly happy with it. Today my deadlifting @180 and @190 felt very slow. Oh well, could have been worse I guess. 4 more weeks till I get a 3 week break. (86.6)

Was not impressed with today's squatting. It felt hard from the word go, and in the end, rather than grind out the last 3 reps of the final set, I just re-racked it. Deadlift was ok, surprisingly. Not massively quick off the floor, ass my legs were knackered, but they kept moving. (86.7)

I really struggle to train squat and deadlift in the same session.

Yes, maybe. Funny, I expected deadlifts to be the lift I struggled on yesterday.

With deadlifting in the same session as squatting, I find it actually helps to do some squatting first. Too much squatting usually has a negative effect on deads. Yesterday was too much!
