I don't know what that is, so probably not

Fish pie. With puff pastry, not mash.

Quark is an acid set cheese.

Mr Pete will never eat it I suspect!

The Slovenians make a cheescake out of it (or quarkcake if you will) and it's delicious.

I always put in a request to my sister in law's mum to have one prepared for whenever I visit Grin

Apologies for the inaccurate information. I wasn't a million miles away though.

Depending on the type/country, quark ranges from crumbly cottage cheese to "fromage blanc", which is pretty close to yoghurt. I think Mr Pete would at least taste Swiss séré.

This I believe to be squid. I would never buy that and anywhere that sold it would certainly sell many things that were better. If they did not, I would go elsewhere

If I had a pound for every time I have argued this I would be a rich man indeed.

In a nutshell (and a very strange nutshell it is)

I despise cheese that tastes of cheese and emits a vile stench when cooked.

However in the interests of full disclosure I have eaten a Big Mac and didn't vomit as I could not taste the cheese in any way shape or form.

Cheese flavoured things, mainly crisps etc are fine as they don't taste of cheese either.

Cheesecake while unquestionably cheese is delicious, so much so I rufuse point blank to admit that it contains any cheese at all. The arguments I have had over the years with people who bought the ingredients and made the bloody thing and therefore think that they know better than me have been hugely entertaining over the yeaars

I might and I do. But I suspect I would have to walk past cheesecakes to buy quark, so why would I ?

I'm very certain you'd like deep-fried calimari.

Salmon en croute would be better described as a salmon version of a beef wellington.
