Thanks mate!

5.12.20

Short one, just finishing touches

Warmed up
Box squat
70
120
160
200
Belt
230
250x1 (PB)
270x1 (PB)
290x1 (PB, I pretended I was gonna be sensible and then did the inevitable)
300x1 (60kg PB, very happy with this. Equalled my normal squat so it's time to work on that! I can really feel the increased eccentric strength on these)

Strict press
60
100
120
140x2 (had no plan for these so left it there)

Done. Feeling very good. Was probably most happy that after max triple deadlift I had no soreness other than my abs from hollow holds

And also on the squat. That's a massive lift.

12.12.20

Warmed up

Deadlift
70
120
Straps
170
Belt
220
270
320x1
350x1
380x1 (10kg PB, hitched but certainly not the hardest pull I've ever done)
400xfail (Got it off the ground but only a couple of inches, not there yet but deadlift is definitely going the right way. It's just nice to see a 400kg deadlift attempt written in my log. Next time it will be a make)

Farmers walk
56
96
146
186
220x about a foot (just wanted to do something daft, as far as I know this is heavier than anyone has ever done on farmers, was a grind to pick up so my grip didn't have much left once I started walking but I'm happy to have felt it and it's a big PB for anything I've picked up off the ground)

Stones
120
140
160 to 60"
160 x about 6 fails to 65" (so close but couldn't quite press it on, will get this next time but I was going a bit blurry and almost passing out from having the stone resting on my chest for so long. I'll have this before new year.

Done. Lots of fails really but I'd say that was a great session, my weak points are improving nicely and I'm not fearing a 400kg pull anymore, it's just another 20kg so a very good day indeed. Had a couple of days off but I'll be back to training tomorrow with a squat focus!

Cheers guys, the stone run was very slow haha

Haven't watched it yet but I was really sub par at Brits, still hadn't recovered from being ill which was so frustrating as I was looking forward to those events, they suited me pretty well. Very motivating for next year though, off to start the Russian Squat Routine now!

15.12.20

Had a couple of days chilling then back to it. The plan is (was, is) to runs Russian Squat routine whilst continuing to hammer my posterior chain and build up my weaknesses through my hamstrings and lower back. Deadlifts will be very frequent but lighter with more volume for the next phase.

Warmed up

Squat
70
120
170
Belt
220
250x1 (yeah so that routine can wait)
180x1
300x1 (=PB)
320x1 (20kg PB)

Absolutely buzzing with that! I pulled my lat on the way up so left it there but really happy to hit 700lb, I think not being used to bouncing after the hole from the box squats made my lower back not too happy but I'll get used to that and hopefully have another 10kg there after the peaking cycle.

Will count this as session 1 of RSR and do next session with 255kg

Done.
