When I don't get enough sleep or have a few bad eating days I'm as weak as s**t too. It really makes a massive difference. Is there a reason you aren't able to eat much? For me I have a poor appetite. I almost have to set an alarm to remind me to eat something. My wife hates me Wink

Really busy at work and smoked about a million fags so little appetite ,normally i'm always hungry , but find it difficult to find the timr to eat enough at work tend to eat s**tloads when I get home!

just a short session on benchpress today ,originally i was just going to work up to a double on my opener of 90k but I just felt I needed a bit of a confidence boost and my
shoulder didnt feel too bad so went for a pause on 100k and got it and it wasnt too difficult,shoulder niggled a bit after but doesnt feel too bad! Although I know I shouldny be going this close to my max so close to the competition,but psycologically
I think it was worth it ,certainly my attitude towards benching at the competition is mutch more positive now!

Bench press bar xabout 50 30k x10 40kx5

60kx1 70kx1 80kx1 90kx1 100kx1 all whilst shouting start hold1,2 press hold1,2 rack

the neighbours must think I'm mental.

Feely really reved up for the competition in just over a weeks time I'm going to batter my pb's

hayden i think hes at novice comp at the farm in northampton,ed thats a lot better bench and attitude well done mate and glad to here the shoulders not to badHappy

hvince no I'm competing at the east midlands novice juniors and masters on the 21july,
nice benching and deadlifting you should be in good shape for new pbs on the 22

Thanks Rob hoping to up the pbs abit!

Deadlifting today worked up to 180 which i was going to do a double with but it felt heavy and I felt tired so left it at a single and called it a day!

nextweek just a couple of speed sessions and as much rest as work allows before the big day on saturday where I will explode onto the powerlifting scene with a display of monstrous lifting spreading fear and anguish amongst thosa who watch me and verily they will speak of it in hushed voices and with great reverence that they were there the day that Ed Clarke deadlifted 220.

fortunately they probably wont say too much about me bombing on depth and failing 2out of 3 benches !

lol, "did some squats". I suppose the next entry will be, "did some competition" Happy

Good luck for that btw, I hope you'll be videoing it. Looking forward to seeing that 220 DL!!!

last day before comp spent the day eating and sleeping it went something like this!

9.00 got up had protein shake and pint of milk

9.30 went to tescos and bought high calorie food

10.00 breakfast 4 rashers of bacon 2 peices of toast 1 tin of heinz baked beans and pork sausages 1 packet of hash browns and 2 fried eggs

lying on sofa watching the golf and sleeping

12.00 snack 1 500ml pot of onken strawberry yoghurt

more lying on the sofa and more sleeping

2.00 lunch 2 chicago town pizza pies meat feast

3.30 protein shake and 2 bananas

nice little nap

5.00 ate the remains of an omellete that the kids were going to waste!

6.00 2 peices of cheese on toast

starting to feel like a right fat bas***d and Ive still got a sirloin stake and 2 more pizza pies to eat. If I dont do well at tomorrows comp it will not be through lack of calories!
