Thanks guys, so I have been avoiding AT sessions Agony training? Awful test? Avoid these?

The first rep was unpleasant, I think I need better warm ups or do the first rep steadier. Also forgot to open the window which probably only affected me mentally.

Good lord that is an unpleasant looking session , I think AT sessions are the same as my standard interval type stuff .... the ones you convince yourself you cant finish and then somehow youy make it thru !

need to tighten up your window closing discipline !

I have ordered a new window for the "rowing room" presently it only has a small opener high up.

The new window will have a larger side hung opener so I can gulp in the air (and boff out of it easier)

I always find the first rep the worst on AT sessions, 5x6 must of been pretty awful, great work!

Sparrow, I will be keeping the house. The window has been on my to do list for 20 years it just made it to the top as it will greatly benefit me.

Mr Bim, thanks I started to enjoy them after the first 2 and felt like I could of done a few more had time allowed.

Hard to make any significant plans at present, we were meant to be travelling for a year or so but the logistics of that at present and foreseeable future are somewhat difficult. But I would imagine at least 1 rower will make the trip over as/when/if it happens.

I had an idea I would have a crack at a fast 500 tonight took a caffeine pill, thats where it started to wrong I don't know if it is a mental thing but I started to feel "not right" maybe that is the desired effect.

Did some warm ups and 6 sluggish 100m but struggled to get going at a decent rate so did some 20spm stuff instead

500m 1.39.2 20spm default pb
1minute 303m 20spm
45s 227m 1.39.1 20spm
30s 151m 1.39.3 20spm
30s 151m 1.39.3 20spm

Perhaps I will try half a pill if there is a next time

Where is the 5th set?

Did the 30 feel easier than the 26s? Or was fatigue kicking in at that point so hard to compare?

Look closer and you shall see.

The 30 was meant to be 28 but I had to rate up to keep the pace. They were all horrible especially the 12, a strong long legger like yourself should be good at the 12spm. Perhaps we should have a BOAR monthly challenge nothing too outlandish like a 100k

500m 12spm anyone fancy it?
