Hyper obese Pete Member 70, 17865 posts SQ 322.5, BP 205, DL 300827.5 kgs @ 133kgs Eq | There are fewer battered fish fingers in a packet than there are breadcrumbed fish fingers. The packets are the same size so either batter takes up more room or something rum is afoot. My pecs ache in a way that suggests they will ache even more tomorrow

Hyper obese Pete Member 70, 17865 posts SQ 322.5, BP 205, DL 300827.5 kgs @ 133kgs Eq | As expected by pecs ache dramatically. For today I am drawn toward deadlifts, which I feel may be limited by hand softness

Hyper obese Pete Member 70, 17865 posts SQ 322.5, BP 205, DL 300827.5 kgs @ 133kgs Eq | Friday, 31st July, start 16:00 The end of a long, tiring, achey but highly enjoyable week. Deadlifts it is 60 x 5 60 x 5 60 x 5 70 x 5 80 x 5 90 x 5 100 x 3 110 x 3 120 x 3 130 x 3 140 x 3 Lifted in pumps tonight, no sleeves and no belt. None of these were too bad at all, but I was correct insomuch the weight was limited by considerable tenderness in the hands, still that will all disappear in a few weeks and 140 was probably about the right place to stop. Worked in the kitchen all day at a very pleasant 23 degrees, but when I left the house around three - then lord it was hot. The car told me 32 degrees which is a deal higher than I like it. This weekend will involve very little movement

Hyper obese Pete Member 70, 17865 posts SQ 322.5, BP 205, DL 300827.5 kgs @ 133kgs Eq | No problem with the hands this morning, the traps and lats ache a little, but the legs are still groaning. Just watched "Three billboards outside Ebbing Missouri" and enjoyed it, the bit were the mother compares the church to LA gangs to a priest in her kitchen was priceless, skipped back a couple of times to re-watch that bit. "You might be upstairs reading your bible and smoking your pipe but like those cripps and those bloods - you are culpable" Love it. Chippy for dinner, then more of doing less.

Around the same time I watched it in the cinema, The Shape of Water was also out, which is also very good. Recently I watched Ex Machina on netflix which was also very good. What are your favourite films of all time Pete?

Both excellent, as of course is Billboards. If anybody hasn't yet seen Knives Out, it's now on Prime. My favourite film of last year, an absolute joy from start to finish.

What are your favourite films of all time Pete? That's a big question. Pulp fiction was watched by me on video and seemed to be about ten minutes long, the clock told me that it had actually been two and a half hours or whatever, so I watched it again and appeared to know most of the script. It would appear that I had not so much watched it as absorbed it, that has to mark it out as special. Layer Cake I enjoyed immensely and watch that quite often, same for Day of the Jackal (the original with Edward Fox) that has been watched several times. The Gentleman, by Guy Ritchie I enjoyed very much and will watch again. Rock n Rolla, History of Violence, Heat, Casino and No Country for Old Men also rate highly.

I watched that some time back on the good Doctor's recommendation and enjoyed it. I'll record that for future viewing

I watched Pulp Fiction to death as a ten or eleven year old, and havent really watched it much since. Best film of the 90's. I read an article recently which pointed out that 1999 was probably the best year in history for movies- The Matrix, Fight Club, Sixth Sense, The Green Mile... 1994 would have to come close too. In more recent times I also enjoyed the newest Invisible Man movie and Doctor Sleep (the new Shining film).

Hyper obese Pete Member 70, 17865 posts SQ 322.5, BP 205, DL 300827.5 kgs @ 133kgs Eq | Monday, 3rd August, start 16:00 Squat, very raw, sleeves and boots on 20 x 5 20 x 5 20 x 5 20 x 5 20 x 5 40 x 5 50 x 5 60 x 5 70 x 5 80 x 5 90 x 5 100 x 5 110 x 5 110 x 5 110 x 5 The upper back held up very well tonight but the uppers arms ached from holding the bar, both sides just below the delts. As it is the same both sides it causes no concerns and will rectify itself. I will consider the return of the belt for next time.
