Well preped, 6x 5kg myprotein turned up this morning we always have at least 6 months supply of dried food anyway. latest figures show... most of the world have cases... surrey has a man who doesnt know were he cought it from as he hasent been out of the country, how many has he infected i wonder? Current published figures: 85, 461 infected 39, 605 recovered 2,924 deaths (7%) could someone who is better at math than me please explain how this is between 1-2% death rate as the public broadcaster has reported??? | ||

In the grand scheme of illnesses, it’s really not that big a killer. Most will get a flu like illness, feel like s**t for a week or two but not see doctor and be assessed - it’s why it’s spreading so easily. (Add in UK working presenteeism and people crammed on crappy public transport - perfect conditions for a virus to spread) Something like Ebola is easy to count cases because those that get it become so obviously sick and incapacitated within hours of developing symptoms. | ||

I believe western governments have seen what happened in wuhan with the hospitals being overwhelmed and have taken the view that more will die if there is panic. they figure that if they lie about figures and dont test ppl will be calm for longer, hospitals wont be overwhelmed and shops wont empty of goods.
