However as there are none listening right now I can say, for the record, that they are an excellent assistance exercise and I would not try to talk anyone out of doing them. There is one caveat to that and I would insist that they should be done properly with the bar fully racked in the clean position. None of this "arms folded" nonsense. It is because (see inflexibility in previous post) I cannot do this in the proper racked position and would have to resort to "arms folded" that I avoid them. If I could, I would as far as front squats are concerned We are always listening!! I shall report back! In the words of Mack, perhaps you should go home and think about what you have done!!

Hyper obese Pete Member 70, 17817 posts SQ 322.5, BP 205, DL 300827.5 kgs @ 133kgs Eq | Monday, 20th January, start 16:00 Bench, very raw, pumps on as I foolishly forgot to pack my squat boots 20 x 15 20 x 15 20 x 15 50 x 5 60 x 5 70 x 5 80 x 5 90 x 5 95 x 5 97 x 5 100 x 5 102 x 5 105 x 5 So far so good with these, every week the last set seems hard and there is no more left, but every week we raise things a little and history repeats itself. No complaints about that. Very quiet tonight, just me, ju-jitsu guy, Handsome Jeff and Mack, DrRick arrived as I was leaving and that was pretty much that. The weather forecast is for slightly warmer weather for a while. I have no objection to that.

Good point well made. The actual weight doesn't concern me as much as any change in weight, but yeah, 134 in the morning would be fine as that is pretty much bang on 21 stone. I do generally weigh myself in an evening though as that is usually when I remember, mornings are for breakfast, not for standing on things.

Hyper obese Pete Member 70, 17817 posts SQ 322.5, BP 205, DL 300827.5 kgs @ 133kgs Eq | Wednesday, 22nd January, start 16:30 Quiet again tonight, the physio said to not squat this week but to hack squat, just go as low as you can but stop when your hip nips. So I will. I have no idea what the actual frame weighs so all weights quoted are weights loaded on the frame Hack squat 20 x 5 30 x 5 40 x 5 50 x 5 60 x 5 70 x 5 80 x 5 90 x 5 100 x 5 110 x 5 120 x 5 130 x 5 140 x 5 The good news is that I could go as low as I could get and remain nip free. Moving my feet around the platform caused an ache or two but only minor, the fact that the movement itself was pain free is encouraging and suggestive that the stretches, although horrible, are working.

Hyper obese Pete Member 70, 17817 posts SQ 322.5, BP 205, DL 300827.5 kgs @ 133kgs Eq | Yesterday evening I watched a few moments of "Richard Osman's house of games". In one of the games the four contestants team up into two pairs and have to answer a question, the answer to which in this particular game, is always a number, then the take the average of the two answers and the nearest average to the real answer takes the point. Yesterday's question - How far is it, as the crow flies, is it from York, in Yorkshire, to New York in America. The real answer is 3,364, the guesses were 4,000, 5,000, 3,300 and 300,000. Yep that's right, one of them thought that it was 60,000 miles farther away than the moon.

I generally have only two bags of shopping and therefore have two options - Option the first Place bags in trolley and push trolley to car, remove bags and push trolley back to the little covered trolley park (which is about half way between the shop doors and the car). Then walk back to the car. Option the second Place bags in trolley, push trolley to little covered trolley park, remove bags and carry the rest of the way to the car. Under normal conditions I consider option the second to be the preferred option, but under certain conditions, such as buying something very heavy or awkward, I can and would revert to option the first. Thanks for clarifying. It makes sense when you put it like that.
