Dropped a few lbs whilst I was ill a couple of weeks ago and seem to have stabilised at the lower bodyweight, sitting at about 14st 10lbs - 93Kg this morning. Strength loss is worse than ever, especially on bench, the rest of life in general is easier Happy

Done a lot of cv work over Xmas and New Year, half an hour a day or so, mix of skipping, running and circuits.

Stopped logging but a quick update for my future self.

Doing a fair bit of training at the moment, but not much strength training. Most days 10 minutes skipping warm up, circuit training for 30 minutes pretty full on, 2k row at a decent pace (got a pb of 6:55 couple of weeks ago), 30 minutes football / running with the kids on a dinner time. I've also taken up archery since lockdown started, great fun in the garden, doing that for about 30 minutes most days, not physically too tough, but gives the shoulders a decent workout. Couple of times a week boxing, once a week SBD. Bodyweight is sat at about 14st 2lbs most mornings, feeling vascular, life is good Grin

Not doing any strength training at the moment, I'm just going to be logging fitness stuff on here for now, mainly circuits and rowing with a small amount of weights thrown in.

2k at 1:48/500m pace, 500m steady, 1.5k at 1:47/500m pace 500m steady 500m 1:45

Not used to 5k yet, another week or so of them and I should be. Best time for a 5k is 17:58, should duck a bit under that in a couple of weeks time I think.

Row - 5k - 18:54 split: 3.5k 1:49/500m pace, 500m steady, 500m 1:43ish pace, 500m cooldown

Good days training, the 5k's are tough still, come on body, adapt!!!

Since lockdown we've done circuits every weekday and we take it in turns to plan what we are doing. The kids have recently taken it upon themselves to try and make theirs 'the toughest'. So today we had from Mia:

Everything is bodyweight:
10x squat
10x lunges
10x jump squat
10x jump lunges
10x press ups
10x burpees
10x squat thrusts
10x star jumps
10x tuck jumps
10x punches
No rest, full set done 10 times through, legs jellied

Row - 5k 18:45 - splits:
1k 1:47/500m pace
1k 1:58/500m pace
1k 1:48/500m pace
1k 1:59/500m pace
1k 1:48/500m pace

I pace the rows how I feel on the day most of the time, I was feeling pretty drained on Friday so went for 1k fastish 1k slowish intervals. I'm only used to doing 2k rows at the moment, the 5k's are a new addition so am just trying to up the distance and keep a decent pace where I can. Aim is under 18 minutes in the next week or so, so 1:48 is the pace I'm aiming for. A very unplanned and messy way to train but I'll put more structure into place once I get used to the 5ks again.

4k at 1:48 pace
1k cooldown

First time I've rowed without a circuit first and it felt a fair bit easier. I could have ducked under 18 minutes with some extra grit, should be heading for a decent 5k pb.
